  1. hello just purchased this extra vx-402 and I am using it as a slave of another 402.the problem it will not detect a intrusion.it clicks it flashes but no sound to the alarm panel.what am I doing wrong?could the 402 be faulty.
  2. The Powermax PRO does support partitions yes. Hopefully this helps.
  3. I was wondering if the Powermax Pro kit you sell supports Partitions? As the description says its optional. Thanks
  4. I bought a powermaster 10 kit and i have a auto test alarm thats sends to my phone on strange dates (23-10-12, 07-01-13, 03-04-13). I have looked everywhere in the menys but can´t find any autotest meny with that kind of options of dates?? Also my powermaster hums alot from the Power unit, is that normal?
  5. You will need to match the switches that are ON/OFF with the receiver and the transmitter, once they're the same on both then the unit should function fine
  6. Hi I have a WR 300 RECEIVER AND A WT 101A SENDER. tHIS OPERATES A POOL COVER.Motor i HAVE JUST REPLACED FAULTY RELAY IN THE SYSTEM. The motor works fine but the receiver whislt flashing when I hit the sender button does not operate. Tabs down oreceiver 1 and 8 Tabs down on the sender 1 3 and 8 not touched either piece of eqipment since it stopped working.Any ideas would be helpful Thank you.
  7. Yes you can have both at the same time. A speech dialler is a standalone device and works simply through outputs on the panel so it would not interfere with the GSM whatsoever. The only downfall of this is that it does use a phone-line unless you can buy a third party PSTN to GSM converter.
  8. Can I join the speech dailer and mobile com together and have them simultaneously notify both via phone and via ordinary telephone line. Or is this not possible. (possibly also the mobile phone first try and if it fails it tries via ordinary telephone line) Or are there better alternatives?
  9. The two types of GSM dialler are the ComGSM module and the Tango GSM module. The ComGSM is the cheaper version which is also newer. They are essentially the same apart from the fact that the GSM is newer. There is no real reason to choose the Tango over the GSM module. With regards to your additional questions, dependent on the panel it can send the message to a different amount of numbers. With the 48 panel, it can send it to 4 different numbers. (2 numbers per protocol, which you can program both for sms messaging) Also the GSM modules do only send SMS messages rather than voice messages. For voice messages you would require a Speech Dialler (CGA-0001) which works through a phone line.
  10. I'm guessing the fault is actually "Tamper Open" as opposed to "Tamper Alarm". If that is the issue then you have either not closed the unit correctly or have somehow distorted/damaged the board on the MC-302E and that's causing a tamper fault. The system won't ARM unless the tamper is reset by either the lid closing or the board being re-sited/repaired (depending on the issue).
  11. Have tried to acknowledge the alarm at the panel but does not help, still says tamper alarm and the unit is in 'not ready' mode. Any other ideas?
  12. The XCELR works on 868MHz and the 500R+ works on 418MHz or 433MHz. The XCELR does not work with the 500r+ (TheXCELR only works with 700 series recievers and 868MHZ compatible panels)
  13. I think the panel is reporting a "tamper alarm" msg, this can be cleared by simply arming and disarming the system after you has pressed "OK" to read the msgs outstanding on the panel. Hopefully this helps.
  14. Scantronic EXCELR 12m Wireless PIR will this work with my scantronic +500r panal please advise the frequency your help would be appreciated
  15. When I install it, where it is supposed to be, it goes into this tamper alarm mode and it does not help to remove and then add the device or removing the battery, keeps staying in the tamper alarm mode. Have ran out of ideas. Any suggestions on what to do about it??? It is only one contact and it enrols fine and I also suspect its something with the tamper switch, but have not figured out how to reset the switch. Thought it was enough to put back the cover but apparently there is something else that needs to be done. Could you please explain how to 'reset' the tamper switch after it has been violated?
  16. I see two mobile com modules TEXECOM. (type 0001-jae and cegb 001) What's the difference? There is a big price difference. I recently bought a 48 premier installation TEXECOM elite with you. The intention is that the alarm via mobile redirected to mobile. Additional question: To how many mobiles he can send the message and it is only a text message or voice?
  17. You should have no problem at all wiring the Saver detector to your system, this system I believe is a double pole panel. Wire the Alarm pair into one of the zones, (Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4) and wire the tamper pair in series with the other devices in to the 24Hr terminal on the panel. See attached manual for reference. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/brochure/45165PL Ed.2 - PA4.pdf
  18. The answer is yes the CLIP MCW can do this
  19. The systems re-starts itself making impossible to use is as it fires the alarms every time the systems re-starts. The system installation was installed about 2 weeks ago and at the beginning, about every day, at any time (middle of the night or right in the afternoon) the systems alarm was on but with NO intruder detection as the system was NOT armed. Watching the log events, every time that it fails, shows “START UP” and “MAINS OK” and the LCD Keypad shows new date and time as when start up for first time (like default factory data). With this information, I understand that power is being lost for some reason so I changed the main power supply connections just to make sure the main power supply was OK, but still the problem remains although not every day. I have made the following tests: - Take the main power supply off ? The system remains OK with the battery powering the system. - Take the battery power supply off (having the main power on) ? The systems remains OK. - Take the main power supply off and the battery power supply off ? System goes down and when powering on again, I got the same situation as with my problem: Same keypad events and LCD Keypad shows new date and time as when start up for first time (like default factory data). So, My assumption is that the system is losing for some reason all the power (main power supply and battery) but I have already check that NO main power is lost anytime and that the battery is OK, so I do not know how to do next. Do you have any ideas or indication? Do you think it could be the main electronic card defective? I would appreciate a quick response as I cannot leave the system working properly ( Siren still only 5 sec. test mode as the system fires any time….) and, obviously it is not nice having the system fired in the middle of the night…. As additional information, another of the 3 KITs I purchased from you has been installed at my neighbour house with no issues so I understand we are doing well with all the wiring
  20. The proposed solution is spot on, an MCT-100 with a couple of heavy duty hardwired contacts in it
  21. The keypad should be addressed as below. For keypad 1 all the dip switches should be off. Keypad Addressing: Each keypad MUST be given a different address using the DIP switch on the PCB Address DIP1 DIP2 DIP3 DIP4 1 N/A Off Off Off 2 Off On Off Off 3 Off Off On Off 4 Off Off Off On 5 On Off Off On 6 Off On Off On
  22. Just bought a Veritas panel from your good selves and am ready to fit. Aftr reading the enclosed paperwork I want to know if I need to change the dip switches (it will be the only one apart from the main panel) and do I need to configure it for 'Network devices'? If so what do I have to do?
  23. I would like to exspand the system I have, which is PA 4 WIRED alarm (Friedland)to ad to the system with two OPTEX SAVER NEW QUAD PIR. Would this be suitable. The movement detectors I have, have got 6 connections in it.
  24. <pre> I'm afraid not, the only thing you can do is use a PowerMaster30 and that has a 12V supply output you can use</pre> <p> </p>
  25. Hi I need to purchase a wireless alarm system with proximity entry I have looked at the powermaster visonic range but need to know if the powermaster 10 panel has an internal 12 v supply outlet so I can add my already owned gsm dialer.I have seen that there are two proximity readers in the powermaster range the kp 160 and the kp 141 which is the most suitable and easiset to use and are the proximity tags an extra with these items
