The zone part sets are set up in Zones and Attributes. For example a system with zone 6 with part 1 Omit. This zone would be omitted in part set 1.

Just got a question I can't seem to figure out. How do you program Part arms on the Wintex software? I would like to activate a Night arm or Bedtime arm.

[Ticket Question] Texecopm Premier 88 Fire Output
Secware replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
The `unarmed fire coms` in area options will require areas to be selected. It is defaulted as no areas. -
When I wire the panel to activate output 1 when a fire alarm is triggered it doesn't seem to work when I activate a fire alarm from a remote keypad. Is the RKP fire alarm different then from a smoke detector?

Hi, I have just bought from you the Honeywell galaxy g2-12 and mk7 keypad, Honeywell 8IR150 pirs and AG6 bell box, plus Knight G2 5 door contacts. Can you please advise how to wire a pir at the pir end and panel end and where to place resistors. The g2-12 to keypad appears straightforward but does it need a resistor at the keypad end between A and B. Also do all unused zones need a resistor across them to terminate. Could you also confirm bellbox wiring to panel.

[Ticket Question] Accenta Mini Lcd Display Black Rectangles?
Secware replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms

I have a question regarding one of the configuration settings on the NEXT PG2 The 'Disarm Activity' setting has a number of options including: Not Active, Yes-No Delay, Yes + 5s delay...etc I am confused about the 'delay' setting. What does the 'delay' value relate to, i.e. the delay between what and what? Also, in what type of scenario would the device be configured to be 'Yes + 30s delay' for example.

I am interested in purchasing the Honeywell galaxy flex FX020 with a Mk7 keypad but have a few questions first. 1. Is the Honeywell reson8 bell box compatible with the above panel? 2. Is the Honeywell AG3 bell box compatible with the above panel? 3. Does the alarm panel come with the 680 ohm resistors for EOL wiring to the keypads? 4. Does the alarm panel come with the 1k and 2k resistors for double balanced wiring to the PIRs? 5. Does the rio zone expander come with the necessary resistors like the main panel for the additional zones? 6. Does the rio zone expander get its power from the main panel? 7. Can both the gsm/GPRS module and the Ethernet module both fit simultaneously within the main panel and get its power from within the panel? 8. Is it possible to set and unset the alarm remotely via the Ethernet module using a smartphone or web connected computer for when we are on holiday? 9. Is it possible to configure the alarm panel to send text messages as well as phone calls for when an alarm is triggered, when the system is set or unset? One of us is deaf so text messages is better than a phone call from the on board phone autodialler. 10. Do both the main panel and the two bell boxes above come with sealed lead acid batteries or with rechargeable NiCads? 11.Whats the maximum cable length for the RS422 bus for use with 4 keypads 12. Does the alarm panel software need updating to ensure compatibility with the Ethernet module and the GSM/GPRS module? we look forward to your reply,

The E080-2 is the correct module, however it will only work on version 4.0 or above on the Classic range. As for the prom to upgrade, I have checked with Sales Support and these are no longer available, the panel would need a ram replaced (desoldered) for version 4.00 s/ware also.

I would like to upgrade our Galaxy 512 with Ethernet module in order to control the system remotely and to when need be, handle programming and updates through Internet interface, rather than using one of the MAP's in the system. My understanding is that this could be done by complementing our existing system with an additional Honeywell Galaxy Ethernet Module (Model: E080-2) from you, and also I guess, I need to upgrade the SW that currently running as that is an old version, - Ver. 1.27. Our Galaxy 512 motherboard is Rev1.6. Pls. let me know if my thoughts are right, and if so provide me with the pricing for the ROM/EPROM for the SW upgrade, and if needed any additional upgrade or retrofits that might be needed to in order to get this done.

I'd like a little advice on a wireless door sensor. I have an installed system of a few cameras, I would like to introduce a wireless sensor to detect when a gate is opened. I have installed an IP CCTV system which includes an I/O device that I am using to manage some PIR detectors. I have a spare input in the device (it detects a NO or NC circuit) and I would like to use that to detect when the gate is opened, but there is no possibility of running alarm cable. Do you sell a wireless product that I could install? I presume it would be a 2 part device, one which detects a change in the state of the door sensor to disrupt or complete a circuit, and the sensor itself.

Firstly, you have mentioned having problems with three M12 detectors. To Menviers knowledge and/or customer feedback, there is no outstanding problem with this device. With regards to your queries:- I wanted to test the outbreak with a hairdryer and the contact does not open. The hairdryer would only have an effect on the M12, if it was set as a heat detector. Ideally, a proper smoke tester (or smoke can) should be used. The light and red but no alarm on the alarm. If the LED is glowing red, but the alarm is not responding, check resistances or view circuits in the test menu of the alarm panel. I have checked the jumper everything is good. The M12 can operate in four different modes. Check the dipswitches’ are set up for exactly the type of detection you require. Hope this helps

Thank you for fast delivery of my order. I am contacting you because I have a problem on Menvier detectors M12 I wanted to test the outbreak with a hairdryer and the contact does not open. The light and red but no alarm on the alarm. I have checked the jumper everything is good. I have the problem on three sensors M 12 is really weird is it not?

Check the log to see if the time and date of the alarm event is there. If it is, then this would suggest the dialler is at fault for not sending the message. If there is no alarm event shown, then the dialler was not triggered from its source. Also check whether there are ‘signal strength low’ or ‘supply low’ error messages in the log which would have an effect on the signalling of messages. Finally, you should be able to read the message inbox straight away without having to wait some time. It may well be worth defaulting the unit and trying again and/or “bench test” the dialler, or try it at a different site, on a different power supply, to see how it reacts. We are not aware of any known issues for the SD3 diallers. For the dialler to be behaving this way, would indicate either a problem with the site, the GSM provider, a problem with the device(s) activating it, or maybe just a faulty unit. If after trying all of the above, the dialler still does not function correctly, then you may have a faulty unit.

Thanks for your reply,I tried to remove the T as described. However when i go to view messages a 01) is on the display then nothing happens, when I then try to delete message - please wait appears for a long time and then I have to press enter to confirm. The T is still however showing on the display. The model version is 3.4, dated March 23 2010. Could this t be the cause of the alarm being unable to dial out ?

There are terminals on the bottom left of the MS=N where you connect the bell+ and bell-ve . For bell -ve there are two options 'hi' and 'lo' , when you connect the -ve trigger to 'Lo' terminal on MS=N it will give you low volume as compare to 'hi' . Please test it and let us know if it was of any help .

I bought a Visonic TOWER-20AM MCW Outdoor Motion Sensor on your web site in November 2012 and I had 4 false errors in the last 2 days. The message that I received on my phone each time is IRP MASKED ! First time I was home and nobody was outside in the Sensor area. The Sensor worked fine for more than 6 month and nothing change on the configuration. I don’t know what to do, could you please help me with that or explain me who can help me ?

is there anyway of turning down the volume of the ADE Honeywell MSN Multi Siren MS-N on the entry & exit of alarm?

A "T" in the display indicates there is a Text Message waiting to be read in the Text Inbox (To read these go into the menu Messages-Inbox-View Messages) Check the GSM signal strength of the unit (In the menu Test Options-GSM Phone Utilities-Signal Strength) in the unit to make sure it is not showing not registered (if it is put the SD3 on a 12V battery and take the SD3 into a good signal strength area for it to register). If it is showing a signal strength we recommend this is 4 or more (a signal strength of 4 is represented by 4 dots). If you have a low signal strength were you have put the unit try moving the SD3/the antenna to a position of better signal strength, ensure the antenna hasn't been damaged or modified in any way (e.g you cannot cut or extend the antenna lead),the unit is not near anything that might cause radio interference (e.g high voltage or another radio transmitter within 1M of the SD3). If the above is ok when you dial into the unit check the options in System Options-Remote Options (remote access should be set to ON, the number of rings should be set to the number of rings you want to unit to answer after and if the SD3 is being used on a shared PSTN line (this option will not be needed if you are just dialling the GSM sim number of the SD3 for remote access) where something might answer before the SD3 the answer on 1 ring should be ON. If you are still getting problems email back with The software version of the SD3 (check this in the menu Test Options-Software version) What is being show in the signal strength menu (e.g "not registered" or the number of dots it is showing) What is the line priority programmed as (check this in the menu System Options-Line Priority) Are you sending Voice or TXT messages or both?

I purchased a SD 3 dialler off you approximately 3 years ago. It has recently stopped dialling out when the alarm has been activated. I checked the Sim card in a mobile phone and I was able to make calls from the phone, to double check I also bought a new sim card which again worked in my mobile phone but would not dial out from the SD 3. In the LCD display , next to the temperature there is a small box with a letter T in it. The sim card I use is a Tesco pay as you go, signal strength is the same as usual. I have tried to do a test call from the dialler and it failed with the message call error. When I have dialled in remotely the sim goes straight to answer phone , I was able to dial in previously. Could you please advise me what could be the cause of this,

[Ticket Qustion] Trouble Enrolling Kp-141 Onto Pmaster30?
Secware replied to Secware's topic in Intruder Alarms
It sounds like the Kp-141 you are trying to use has the wrong region code... On the back of the unit it should have a number in this format - (868-#:###) with the #'s being numbers, I need to know what that code is please. -
I am unable to enrol the KP-141 PG2(June2013) to the Power Master 30 alarm system(Nov2012): - Full enrolment procedure: I select the * key on the keypad until the LED turns on and then release the * key. The Power Master 30 alarm system (i.e. Add New Device -> Enrol Now) indicates on its display, "Incompatible Device". - Pre-enrolment procedure: I enter the Id of the device into the Power Master 30 alarm system and it is accepted (i.e. Add New Device -> Enter Id). However, the Power Master 30 alarm system indicates that the keypad cannot be networked.

If this is programmed as 20, this will need to be another 20 as a direct replacement.

My question is this. Are all the biscuits in an 11-20 blue-pack (as above) the same, apart from the numbered stickers, or is the internal wiring different? I ask because I've just broken a No 20 while attempting to replace a doorbell plate. Can I use another biscuit from the same pack as a replacement, or will this upset my alarm system? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm no expert. I've asked for high-priority because my house alarm is disabled by the problem.
