Assuming its just a std device on its own circuit a 12v opto smoke detector such as

If its critical id recommend a polled device. A polled device checks its path is available and will report if the path fails remotely
If its not critical then a gsm dialler will do some thing like

Your over thinking it Imo. You can't stop a working system from activating when opening the external sounder. Just get up to it, open it and remove the battery. Then disconnect o can't be more helpful on an open forum

Depends on your panel.
Im not a fan of 3rd party rf interfaces as you dont get any diagnostic data, warnings of problems etc.
Ideally you want a 2 way rf system and the only way to do that is with a 2 way control panel.
You can add the sensors but you need t program out supervision if the detectors are going out of range all the time

Allows web programming, app support etc. Very flexable bit of kit and the big ones can do anything, even interfacing with home assistant etc

scantronic is one option, texecom and pyronix make standalone receivers.
Ive used the scantronic for various things over the years. Alternatively upgrade the 9651 to a hybrid panel.

You can parallel your sensor to the relevant alarm connections. You can have more than 1 sensor per input but will only get global zone notifications etc. Alternatively you might consider using a multizone intruder panel that allows for much more inputs etc

yes that would work but eventaully the battery would go flat. Best thing is to disconnect the external bell inside the bell. For obvious reasons we dont give infomation out on how to disable a burglar alarm step by step ;-)

there isnt a direct SIP dialler, you can connect the existing pstn side to an ata adapter for the IP phone system but id suggest moving to an IP platform for signalling. Else you need to battery back all parts of the path etc

there a few choices. But bear in mind that pstn as we know it is being phased out by all the providers. Id be looking at a dualpath polled solution.
Do you need data, would dualpath apps be more suitable etc? What are you trying to achieve and what are you connecting to?

John. I'd be looking at power cycling it before condemning it as dead. There is a battery.
Bear in mind it's not just a simple job of swapping the unit over and a new one working on your system.
The chime may not be working because its been turned off

could be a multitude of things. What have you got on the panel itself?

We can test the unit if required but if you can't ping it on the local lan I'd be looking at a cable issue or failed comms mod

Id still disconnect and take the keypad to the panel or certainly test every core etc. If moving on a temp cable with all disconnected it will prove if something has failed

Just to followup I'm not assuming but you may have an IP addressing issue if you are getting that from ping

Those cameras are AHD (2MP) and the dvr is using the old standard def (0.4mp). You need an AHD dvr ie
