  1. Texecom Connect App – Free to Download
The Texecom Connect app is free to install and use. However, to unlock its full functionality, your alarm system must be compatible and properly configured.

For remote access and control, a Texecom SmartCom or SmartCom 4G module may be required, depending on your setup.

  2. Generally a beeping texecom alarm is caused by 2 things. Chime is enabled and it is beeping when a circuit activates or it has a fault.

    Texecom Turn Chime Off

Press the musical note button on the keypad. The chime will be disabled immediately.

    To set up chime zones:

    1. Enter your 4-digit user code.
    2. Press MENU, then press TICK to confirm.
    3. Scroll through the menu and select Edit Chime Zones. Press TICK.
    4. Browse the zone list and highlight the zone you want to enable. Press X to toggle.
      • The zone status will change from Silent to Chime.
    5. Press MENU, then RESET to save and exit.

    Diagnose A Texecom System Fault

If it’s a system fault that’s causing the beeping, your keypad will show a fault message.
The beep will continue until the fault is fixed.

Make a note of the fault displayed, this can also be retrieved from the texecom panel log
Try entering your 4 digit code, then RESET.

For further assistance create a new topic in the support forum listing the equipment type and fault reported.

  3. Due to the chnage of elevation (ie top and bottom of stairs your really going to need 2 sensors. A corridor sensor on a bracket may work well but isnt designed to angled that way. Also bear in mind the link you provided is a intruder alarm sensor not for switching 240v. It could be connected to a relay and suitable power source though. If doing that id recommend a voltek system as they provide adjustable low voltage sensors and it will be easier to run a low voltage alarm cable to the sensors from where the current switching is taking place.

  4. You can add a radio expander to this panel via the bus. Then compatible smoke detectors can be added. To use a call point you would need a clean switch model and add external eol resistors. A speech dialler can be directly connected to one of the programmable outputs. But this would not make it a complaint fire alarm. If BS5839 is required you will need to use a compliant fire alarm panel.

  5. Omitting Zones Your system may be programmed so that you can omit individual detectors.

Ask your Installer which zones can be omitted.

    To omit a zone:

    1. Key in your access code or present a tag and press X. The display shows: Omit Zone?

    2. Press the number of the zone you want to omit (for example, key in 07 to omit zone 7).

    3. Press Y. The sounder gives a double beep and the display shows the zone number followed by an "o": Note: Omit Zone? Omit Zone 07o If the display shows a “x” after the zone number then you cannot omit that zone. To omit further zones repeat steps 2 and 3.

    4. Press X to finish.

To set the system with an omitted zone:

    5. Key in your access code (or present a tag) and press a Level key..

    6. The control unit gives an error tone and the display shows (for example): A:Omit Zone 07?

    7. Press Y. If necessary, press Y again for each omitted zone shown on the display. (If you wish to escape press X.) After you press Y for the final omitted zone the control unit starts to set.

  6. Hi

Solar powered cameras are usually diy type products and not professional grade. There are solar options but due to the size and cost and usually specialised. Plus you will need to run some sort of wifi transmitter as well as the camera. You will also need to consider the time the camera and any ir emitter will have to function during hours of darkeness and low recharge output in the winter,
