  1. To be sure then 1 ensure sounder is in SAB mode 2 connect only hold off voltages 3 ensure all tamper switches are closed 4 ensure high security bell is not enabled
  2. There are no seperate communicator outputs, these are only on the bigger panels, but yes you can trigger it from the bell output
  3. Which unit do you have. The green code if an elmdene unit is not related to the wiring. The leaflet will detail which wires need to be connected to the panel
  4. fault finding wise, id remove all wiring and connect the keypad to the panel on a short wire. then if that functions narrow down the fault. If it doesnt function then it may be keypad or panel
  5. id look at the honeywell dialler http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1425
  6. The master visonic equipment is 2 way but bear in mind all battery life claims are 'best case' like mpg in cars. the visonic equipment is not as flexible as say the siemens. Plus the siemens etc has smartphone support, currently has x10 but this will change for a much better ha protocol in the future. as this seems like a diy project id probably advise the visonic. Its nowhere near as powerful as the hkc siemens etc but the hkc is restricted to professional installers only.
  7. Combined Vibration and door contact http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=937 Contacts http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=667 http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3567
  8. mark Id say you have 2 equipment choices on your spec HKC kit will do most of what you want but will be limited on the home automation side. id recommend the siemens product to do all you need and a future firmware update will give 2 way home automation comms, better than x10
  9. Id agree, this is our issue to provide support. What is the issue you have?
  10. As a voice dialler yes, however I'm unsure if the French system supports TAP or you have TAP receivers for sms over landline. if you just need voice take a look at the Honeywell unit.
  11. Yes you can connect both to port 1 and 2
  12. Unfortunately we don't support that controller so it may. But if the unit accepts voltage input then it should
  13. You need to connect a 16 ohm speaker to the panel speaker terminals and locate your speaker as desired
  14. Yes you need to address additional keypads differently, each keypad needs to be unique
  15. im assuming you have a panel with built in analyser?
  16. you could use a visonic stand alone reciever and connect the relay to the push button, but this will probably involve modifying the switch as id doubt it has external connections, then you can program a fob transmitter into the reciever
  17. is this an additional keypad, do you have an existing keypad that functions?
  18. sales will have to confirm the rl8 bit, but yes the relay board provides 8 x dry contacts for wiring into a panel, however id recommend changing the panel to one that nativly supports wireless
  19. the secware unit is our own brand, the other unit is a branded unit. We test all secware own brand items to ensure they function well. to capture reg plates the cameras need to be fairly square to the target, and zoomed to view about 2 car widths. It also depends on your dvr. the following sizes apply to dvrs CIF = 360 x 288 pixels which is 0.1 mega pixel 2CIF = 704 x 288 pixels which is 0.2 mega pixel 4CIF or D1 = 704 x 576 pixels which is 0.4 mega pixel 960h = 960 x 576 pixels which is 0.55 mega pixel Then you move into the HD cameras 720 HD = 1280 x 720 pixels which is 0.92 mega pixel 1080 HD = 1920 x 1080 pixels which is 2 mega pixel As you can see modern HD cameras and dvr's can resolve much more detail. It allows wider views with more detail than older PAL based dvr's
  20. output 1 NO ------------- BELL output 2 NO ------------- STB Aux 0v -------------------- -12v Aux 12v ------------------ +12v One of the T is tamper in so connect T to -12v at the sounder and connect the other T to TR Also Connect Output 1 and 2 C terminal to 0v in the panel and program your outputs respectivly for bell abd strobe
  21. I dont know of a system that nativly supports that, the galaxy does have a 232 printer port that delivers plain ascii of events though.
  22. no i would run the bells from the panel and run everything else from the 2nd psu or use a bigger panel.
  23. you need to wire the ho- of the second bell from the tamp return of the first. Or only connect 1 tamper switch.
  24. be cautious with 2 bells, you might be better setting the second bell as an scb rather than sab
