Intruder Alarms

Hi I have a 3-5 year old (can't specifically remember the age) HoneywellTotal Connect 2.0 E system in place with multiple motion sensors, fobs, tags ect....and the control panel seems to have failed - it's not transmitting anymore. I am interested kit solution with GSM capability. I would like the alarm when triggered to be sent as SMS to predefined mobile phone numbers and possibly even place calls to predefined numbers. Also I would like to be able to configure and receive status by sending SMS command. I would like to have two identical kits: Each kit has 2PIR, 2 door contacts, 1 control panel with GSM, 2 Keyfobs. Logic 6 alarm system as ordered, however it appears to be faulty. I was replacing an existing unit and wired the PIR’s, door switches and Exterior bell box and strobe. The system immediately showed a fault on the anti-tamper side. I removed the PIRs and tested the system with door contacts and it worked fine. On testing the 13v power contacts they are not showing any power reading although the batter is running the rest of the system. It would appear that the circuit board is wired incorrectly. I can confirm that the fuses are intact but no power is being shown at the output side

Hi, Just wondered if you could tell me please how to change the volume on the 16 ohm speaker? I have one but can’t figure it out. Are they just one volume or is it changed at the panel? we have a question about the leds should they be left on after initial walk round test on the alarm? this is referred to on the installation manual to turn them off? or can they be left on?

I have installed veritas r8 panel last year , I was wondering if it is possible to somehow have it so it contacts my mobile phone through my internet router when going into alarm mode, I know you can get a communicator , I have used these in the pass, but I do not have a land line anymore, like many people I use mobile phones, hard wired to my router would not be a problem , your help / advice would be appreciated ,

You sold the above to my installer when I renovated my property in 2012. I have never actually used it but now looking to start using it. The engineer at the time left me an engineers code which i cannot find nor can I remember the code I used. Is there anyway I can now get the alarm working? Your advice would be greatly appreciated or any contact at Scantronic. Many thanks ps a contacted another firm told me I would have to buy a new panel through him which I find hard to believe.

I'm trying to install the Ion-40 wired keypad with my existing i-on 40 main panel. At the first mains switch on (with back-up battery and wired keypad connected) the manual says you should get option A and B on the keypad display. I get this on my display but the entire left side of the keypad buttons -including the A, B, C & D buttons (but excluding the big square button) do not do anything - ie when I press them, nothing happens. Pressing the others makes a beep and the keypad back lighting comes on for a few seconds. Bought myself a Jablotron JA-83 panel. The manual advises to connect only 1 wired keypad (JA-81E). Additinional keypads should be connected wireless. Does anyone have an idea why ? Is this panel not able to work with 2 keypads on the same keypad connectors? Does the panel delivers not enough power to feed more than 1 keypad? Or does Jablotron likes to sell wireless keypads above wired ? I really would like to know why...

I have a system that is activating as soon as the full system set is applied and timed to set. It sets ok in part, however there are no open zones to activated the system. Tamper circuit is also fine. Any help is appericated.
