  1. Hi I am new to wiring up alarm systems and have 2 SC550/WH door contacts to add into a Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 system. There are no instructions for wiring the 6 connectors on the contacts. I assume the middle two are for the tamper. Where do the power and relay connect?

  4. Started by chri15athome,

Hi I am a newbie here, I had an older alarm panel and as the PIR's were rubbish I replaced all the PIR's with new Bosch ones, but the control panel tamper sensors have had it so now I need a new control panel. I would really like to fit a door contact or virbration sensor to the rear patio doors but it would be a real pain to get a cable to it. Are there any wireless panels that could accept wired and wireless sensors? I am happy with all the other sensors I have so I don't want to install a complete wireless system. Thanks for your help Chris

  5. I was wondering if you could help me? I am looking at this gsm module as a means of contact me. I have no telephone landline at the premises I want to install this and I need something that will phone me like a mobile phone and not just send text messages as this would not work, due to hearing a text message at night. Also how many numbers can be stored/programmed into the module?

  9. We recently purchased a system which includes 2 x Pyronix Deltabell and a honeywell ADE GEN4 metal system. When reading the Pyronix data sheet it states that the bell trigger to the Deltabell must not be in paralled ( ie from one output ) two outputs must be used. The problem is I dont think the GEN 4 panel has a second bell output terminal, or have i missed it? As the deltabell is class 3 we have to install a resistor (4k7) from the +ve to the bell trigger ( to give it aprox 2v or above during normal mode ). With one deltabell this works fine. How should I connect the other deltabell? would a solution be to install a 2K resistor in place of the 4K7 and set both bells t…

  16. I have an old (broken) Honeywell optima system and want to replace it with a new control panel, remote keypad, upgrade to the PIR sensors that are both microwave and I.R. and also have SMS alerts when there is an event, so I was looking at your website and saw you have a *lot* of things... just wanted to chat about what solution you could recommend. (I'm in the north west)

  17. Started by voulco,

I'm new to this forum and although I tried to read several posts I'm not sure if I came across this topic. I'm thinking of buying the G2-44 for domestic use. On deciding which wired Motion Detectors to choose I'd like your opinion on which brand: Would you advise to stick with Honeywell products (such as the DT 7550A) or would other products such as Rokonet iWise DT15, Pyronix FPKX15DT3, Bosch TriTech, etc will do a better job and fit better with the system? I'm open to suggestions... Thanks!

Hi, I'm fitting a Honeywell Galaxy G2-20 at the moment (4th installation of the galaxy range) and usually would just fit a dialler however i saw the CSL Dualcom for sale on SW:- http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2438 It says that the first years monitoring is included, i'm just wondering who the ARC is, how the registration is completed and the ongoing yearly costs. Thanks Peter

  20. Hello, we have just had an outside office built - detached from the house by 1m. We currently have an Accenta G3 hard-wired panel with three spare zones. If I purchase Texecom GEC-0002 Ricichet Expansion pack and three Ricochet PIRs, will it allow me to attach the three wireless detectors to the spare zones? Your advice would be most welcome.

  21. Hi, Im looking for additional replacement wireless sensors (contact and vibration) for a Risco WIsdom system, RWT62 (contact) and RWT6S (shock), you dont seem to have these in stock. Are there compatible replacements? I think they also be available under the Gardtec brand.

  22. Started by tumbleweed,

Please can anyone help resolve this problem with Intruder Alarm system Scantronic 9800+. (9827) In brief, there is a code showing as bF which I understand through d/loading the User manual means: battery fault on the control panel. The alarm has been going off several times a day for nearly a week and I disconnected the ringer several days ago but am too worried to open up the control panel in case it then goes off again and I can't press the code to stop the noise once the faccia is removed. However, I need to see inside in order to know what type of battery I need to buy to replace the present faulty battery. Any assistance would be very much appreciated since I h…

  24. Hi guys, just a quickie. Can you tell if the the Visonic Powermax+ Quickfit Kit (inc Wireless sounder)kit has the dialler built in? Can you set and unset via your telephone after an activation and can it send you a text message to let you know when the alarm is set/unset? I can't find any spec online fort his product. If you could email me a link that would be just as good. Have a good evening. Dan.
