What USB to 232 cables are people using for G2 compatibility? It seems that my dimension USB cable will not play ball with the G2 panel. Works fine for dimension panels and associated 232 cable, just not the G2 panel and cable., Thanks John

  7. Hi, I am installing a Honeywell G2-20 alarm system at my home. I currently have two iWise 800QG3 movement sensors and am looking at installing an additional four to the system. I am considering purchasing the following detectors. https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/bosch-blue-line-gen-2-bld2-pet-tritech-blueline-detector-p-2392.html I understand TriTech is the best class of motion sensor to reduce false alarms. Is this sensor recommended or would you recommend something else? Any advice is much appreciated. Kind regards,

I'm having some problems in getting the CQR SC517 to work with the Premier Elite 48 panel. 5 contacts work as intended and they are setup the way that I cut T1,T2 and the red wires giving the correct restiance towards the Texecom (Double Pole / EOL), in Wintex they work perfectly. 10 contacts do not work, gap is the same between the contact and the magnet 6-10 mm. The do not work, same resistors are cut. In Wintex they report tamper alarm. Any ideeas ?

  10. I have fitted a wired intruder alarm system within my house and wonder if you could confirm I can install a wireless detector in an external building with a wireless receiver next to and connected to the wired system panel. If it is possible could you suggest the equipment I would need. There are spare zones on the wired panel and I would only need one zone on the wireless receiver.

  11. Hi, i recently ordered some extra window/door sensor and an external siren for my Visonic Power Master 10 ADT Branded alarm. I have added a few sensors in the past with no problems but both door switches and the siren will not communicate with my alarm panel. When I add the device and press the auto-acquire button on the new sensor the panel tells me it is not a compatible device. So i tried entering the 7 digit number and now the panel said it is not registered on the network. Thinking it may be my panel at fault i tried to register them on a neighbours panel with the same results please advise?

  14. I am sorry to bother you again. Can you tell me please is it possible to get a wireless sender and receiver to fit inside the VERITAS R8 control panel as we have a garage that was alarmed that way as it is detached from the house and the old wireless sender is not compatible with your system. Also is there a code to open the panel to replace the battery as the installer took all the installation notes with him and he has gone to Australia for 3 months so i cannot contact him.

  16. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me decide on a simple & effective alarm system. What I need is listed below. 1) 1 door contact 2) Minimum 2 PIR's (wired or not) 3) Key fob to de/activate alarm 4) Some sort of notification on activation (email, text/call) 5) camera that can record images/video when there is motion and the ability to send the images to a phone AND be viewable over the internet Ideally, I'd like the system to be controllable remotely and have as little wiring as possible. I have made allowance for 2 cat5 cables to the 2 known Camera/PIR locations. (Depending on the cost, I might also include a door peephole camera - again, I'…

  18. Can you suggest a package to provide 3 x independently switchable on/off beams of 12m, 9m, 6m span with a control panel and sounder. The sounder to mute after a preset time. the system to be mains/ 12v powered. The detectors to be preferably powered from one end only of each beam. 22. Can you suggest some compatible, either a wired or wireless Panic Attack alarm for the purchased Secware Optima

  23. Started by securitywarehouse,

The unit is fitted to the position A at right hand side of the frame and will alarm on tapping the right hand panel but not when tapping the left hand panel. Are two units required on the window frame?

  24. Is the MCS730 compatiable with the powermax + panel?

  25. I am assembling the individual components of the Optima 4 kit minus the SAB strobe. I am substituting the Odyssey 3E, as I already have the diamond shaped cover.
