  2. Maybe unwisely, I have bought a used SD1+ Speech Dialler to replace a twelve year old model that failed to respond to all the helpful advice you gave me back in February. I have carried out a factory restart, as described in the manual, and have created a 'NEWCODE'. However, when I try to program telephone numbers from 'READY' and press'ENT', the LCD still shows 'READY'! Again from 'READY', if I press 'O' 'CLEARBY' is indicated. But pressing 'B', 'CLEARBY' still remains on the LCD! Please can you help me!

  3. Subject says it all really: I've installed a Scantronic 9651EN-43 into an existing "wired" house and extended the system using the Visonic MCT-302/MCR-308R wireless system. I've linked the Visonic zone output into the 9651 zones and also linked the anti-tamper into the main loop as well. The Visonic can send a low battery warning and I need some suggestions as to how the 9651 can handle this? Obviously, it needs to bring the warning to the home owner's attention, but it can't prevent setting the system or set off a full-blown alarm if it occurs whilst the system is set. Many thanks for your assistance!

  16. Started by Bernt,

Hi, I had some problem getting the SMS work with the service provider here in sweden and therefore I'am thinking about using the internet and try to avoid using an ordinary alarm central. 1 Do you have any equipment I can use to send alarms via internet from my alarm panel? 2 Is there any crude variant where I can let the alarm call my mobile and I can get some status and maybe even control the panel with my mobile phone? Best reg.

  17. My internal sounder registered fine with the domonial control panel, and on viewing through engineering mode always registers a high signal (7/10) However, whenever I set (full or part) the alarm, typically every other time I get the 'INT SOUNDER RADIO LINK' error. I've configured the system to ignore these errors and set regardless without requiring confirmation - but my worry is there is a fault which might mean the sounder does not go off in case of intrusion. Last week I tried changing the batteries (on the off-chance the batteries supplied were low given the packaging was open), but this did not solve the problem. The positioning of the sounder is very cl…

  20. Started by luboz,

I am trying to install Scantronic 9448EUR-90 board with two Takex MS100E multi pattern sensors connected in series on Zone 2 (all other zones are disabled) and Elmdene Quartz 1000live sounder. My problem is that control panel shows temper fault - all boxes are closed, all cable connections verified. If I reset the panel by disconnecting battery and main supply the temper light will go off Zone 2 light will go on and when you try to set the alarm with users code the temper lights come up on again. Could somebody recommend how I can solved the problem?

  23. I recently purchased a Scantronic 9651 alarm control unit from Security Warehouse; I installed the unit but when I initialised it, it came up with \'Zone Flt\' on all 8 zones; this error is not included in the insstallation manual. 25. I am looking to replace my current alarm system with a new modern system. One of my main requirements is to allow remote access to the system, and so I am looking at the Scantronic i-on 40. Although all of my sensors are wired the wireless capability will be handy if I have to upgrade in the future. I also require SMS messaging through GSM and PSTN so would be looking to also install these modules as well as one extra wireless keypad. My main concern at the moment is how the wired sensors and PIRs are connected to the i-on 40 system to ensure it will work with my current installation. Can you provide any information as to how the zones are wired on the system, or are …
