  1. The sounder on the control panel works correctly but the remote keypad emits no sound at all when being used to set the system. Is it a setting problem, a wiring problem or a defective remote keypad?

I have an 11 year old scantronic 9930 fitted professionally and serviced. I am about to purchase a replacement keypad. However with regular power cuts here my alarm now triggers outside bell very quickly and will not go off for 15 minutes, i cannot reset. Also the display shows better missing even though it's not and i have checked all connections which are fine, also the battery is reading 12volts on tester. The only thing i noticed was split at bottom but, NO leaks ?? so why is it showing message and a 12volt reading on tester. Can you advice please as i don't want to waste money on keypad and battery if it is something else.

I have a texecom premier which has alarmed but I cannot re set it as it looks like it may need an engineers code. Is there some way of re booting it to put it back to factory default codes. If not, rather than call out the alarm company is it possible to just replace the control panel. Do I need to replace the local lcd keypad as well. If I disconnect the control panel to replace it will the external siren go off? Regards

  14. Good morning, I've bought a GalaxyFlex and a RF Portal from Honeywell which work like a charm I would like to add some Wireless shock/vibration sensor with Door Contact in my house. I've bought the "Honeywell Le Sucre Wireless Shock Sensor with Contact White" ( Model: SHKC8M ), but it's quite big. I would prefer something smaller, more discreet , like the Honeywell Wireless Door/window compact magnetic contact Brown ( Model: DO800M2 ), but with the shock sensor feature Could you advise me another product (shock + contact) which would be compatible with the GalaxyFlex ? Thanks in advance for your help Cedric

  15. Can you kindly confirm that the Bosch Blue Line Gen2 Passive-infrared Detector, that you sell, would be fully compatible with my 9651PD-41 Grade 2 8 zone Panel that I purchases from you a few years ago?

  17. Re products: ESP Quest 14m PIR & Honeywell Intellisense IS215T 12m PIR. Can you please confirm price of these items and which produce would be more suitable for residential use. Is the ESP as good a quality as the Honeywell PIR. Could you also recommend a suitable control box (alarm) and entry keypad that would be compatible with these PIRs. Thank you.

  18. I am a building contractor with a number of sites in operation. I am interested in the GJD GSM Autodialler or Pyronix V2 GSM. Can these products be used as standalone alarm units. Can PIRs be connected directly to this unit or do I have to integrate this with an alarm control panel?

Hi, I have an ADE ID Ultimate alarm panel and connected devices, plumbed into my property. The panel has been doing some weird things of late, I have replaced the battery and checked all the fuses but still it's giving me grief. Do you have any suitable alternatives that work off the same kind of 4 wire technology to save having to re-wire the house. I have both of the 30 channels enabled but I don't have 60 items connected, I tried to split off the fire detectors from the rest of the alarm devices. Cheers,

  20. Hi, Will a Robot vacuum cleaner trigger the alarm? I'm thinking about buying a robot vacuum cleaner but I'm worried that the vacuum cleaner will set off the alarm system. What can I do to avoid false alarms. Is it best to buy pet tolerant movement detectors with dual technology or is it enough with PIR? Or will the alarm go off no matter what kind of movement detectors I use? Best regards Tomas

Right now i'm investigating the rokonet wisdom and the visonic powermax. Questions 1- Which one do you think would be the most suitable system? You can refer other systems 2- I didn't find any GSM/GPRS adaptor for the rokonet wisdom in your site. The Wisdom panel refers the capability, is it already included? If not which module should be used? Thanks Nuno
