  2. I'm fairly sure I can interface the Reson8 bell box to an old RS alarm Panel I installed many years ago. The panel has (in order) + Hold off, - Hold off, -SW, +SW, -ExB, -ST-, + IntBell, - IntBell, +Buzz, -Buzz, -Tamp(Zone1),+Tamp(Zone1) Basically I cannot see how to connect the Tamper supply- and Tamper return- in the Wiring diagram. I am sticking with the wiring colours. I know it's quite serviceable.

  3. Hi, My G2-20 is set to EOL and all the other sensors I have purchased from you have had EOL built-in. I guess the Activ8 BG I purchased does not. Can you confirm how I should wire this to my Honeywell Galaxy G2 panel. I have two zones spare that I'd like to use for the motion and the break glass feature of the Activ8. I guess I need to wire a 1k resistor between two of the terminals but not sure which ones. Terminal 1 & 2 - Tamper T 3 & 4 - R-PIR (normally closed) T 5 - EOL T 6 & 7 - R-MIC (normally closed) T 8 - +12v T 9 - GND Many thanks.

  4. I would like a wireless single PIR, single door, telephone dialing warning unit with small key pad for a 2rd floor two bed flat. Ideally I'd like an internal and external audible siren but would settle for either. Scantronic have been recommended. Any ideas on what to buy rom you please?

Hi, I am told with this system, powermax plus, I can get Pir's to hard wire. I want to hard wire 3 Pir's, but see only 2 hard wire zones. What pir's can I use for hard wire please, and are there pet friendly ones ? Which hard wired external alarm can I buy with this ? Are all batteries included with the system please ? Wanting to buy the visonic plus control panel, 5 wireless door contacts, brown colour, 2 wireless pet tolerant pir's, 1 hard wired pir, 1 wired external alarm, 1 dummy alarm box, and 2 key fobs / Can you give me the best options kit wise, and cheapest way of buying these, and total costs please ? Thanks, Alan. alanbl@sky.com

  6. Started by Secware,

I think I have damaged the PCB. It shorted as I was removing a connection when still live. I've replaced the blown fuse but, on rewiring, it alarms as soon as the system is set. I'm confident the wiring is correct & unit programming OK (I did a factory reset). There is no fault with the PIRs. Any suggestions on how to remedy?

  7. Started by Secware,

Good afternoon, I purchased a Veritas system with lcd keypad. The issue I have is that the keypad is showing a tamper fault and the tamper switch does not seem to be working. I have check all of the system and everything else seems in order. Is there an reason this would be a fault ? Kindest regards

  8. Hi I have a 3-5 year old (can't specifically remember the age) HoneywellTotal Connect 2.0 E system in place with multiple motion sensors, fobs, tags ect....and the control panel seems to have failed - it's not transmitting anymore. So we can't secure our home manually or even using the App. Am I right to assume by purchasing the following new control panel (https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/intruder-alarm-c-36/kits-c-36_62/honeywell-suepacke-panel-with-gkps8m-keypad-and-four-tags-p-4880.html) it will effectively plug and play with all the existing peripharels (obviously after having to reset the system and reconfigure/link it all back together)? Will the new con…

  12. Proposed Gargage Alarm System Before placing a package order I just need to confirm that the Scantronic 9651EN-43 Panel will support 2 x remote extension speakers. I note it has 3 fully programmable outputs, I need a volt free relay / contact output (N/C healthy) Open Circuit on alarm condition for remote signalling to an existing Scantronic 9752 panel located in the house (this will then represent a seperate zone alarm, just like say a PIR in alarm condition going from N/C to open circuit) - please could you advise, order ready to go.

Hi I would be interested in buying Visonic alarm system. However I am not clear on the PowerLink functionality. Do I have to have Visonic IPMP server installed separately to support PowerLink for exactly this: sending emails/MMS messages with pictures from connected cameras UPON alarm trigger.

We are looking for a fully wireless, self install inturder system for our Gardeners Yard, we would need a few internal motion detectors and door contacts and some external gate contacts, we also would want some external sirens. We do have some power in the building for the base, but no internet and very little 4G signal., Is this something you can advise on?

  23. Started by Allways Electrical,

Is the 9448 manual the same or similar to the 9448+ manual as I need to gain access to the panel without it going into full alarm. Or can anyone tell me how this can be done. I have installed many Optimas over the years but never got involved with Scantronic.
