  1. Started by Secware2,

Texicom Premier Elite 24 panel, siren and medusa PIRs, Order Number: ***** 31st March and recently completed the installation hard wiring 5 PIR’s into each of 5 of the 8 zones available within the panel. I have set all 5 zones ‘double pole / EOL’ but the panel is showing tamper fault error message. Following further investigations it appears the medusa PIR require 2 resistors to be installed across the tamper 2k2 ohm and zone 4k7 ohm. My first question is – is this correct and secondly do you stock these items.

  2. Started by Secware,

I purchased several items including a ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 and a Honeywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren to update an old system in my house. I fitted the items and all seemed to work well. However I have just realised that when I remove the PCB cover, activating the tamper, the external bell and strobe do not operate. The sounders on both of the key pads are activated by the tamper. The external siren and strobe work as they should in all other situations (test, SOS, if the alarm is triggered etc.) I just cannot work out what is wrong, any help would be appreciated?

  6. Started by Secware,

I want a texecom control panel that can report zones triggered(names&location), users(name&number-if possible) who armed and/or disarmed the system, power failure, battery fault and siren fault. I'll be very grateful if you have or can have such a system. My clients want to get such informations(esp. Users& zones) specifically.

H I am looking at the Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 control panel, and am not sure which Internal sounder is best suited for this system , the Honeywell Internal sounder or HCK Echo or CQR Piccilo . I was intending to wire the sounder into the control panel Any advise please

  18. Can you advise which security panel would be suitable to replace one which has failed? (only lasted 15 years, but sadly now defunct!) This unit has 6 zones (hard-wired) of which I use 4. Anything that offers similar, at least 4 hard-wired + radio to cover areas not currently covered would do. Can you suggest something? I can install it.

  19. I need to replace the battery in my Scantronic 9651, but can't find this on your website. Please advise the name of the battery.

  21. We have recently moved in to a house fitted with a Scantronic 9448 alarm system. We believe we need to replace the PIR detectors to pet tolerant ones (as we have two house cats) and I wanted to check before I go ahead and purchase them that the 430 PIR will be compatible with the existing system?

Hi All, I have a Galaxy Flex 20 panel installed with x10 PIR's, x2 door contacts, SMS & ethernet module. I need somebody with Galaxy Flex knowledge to commission all of the above (including GXRemote app). Please PM me if interested with anticipated costs. Cheers G

  24. Hi I have been roped in to help a friend that has an alarm panel that has died. I am looking for a panel that is 1. Easy to install 2. That can work with Biscuit ID wired sensors 3. Not expensive I think it is 6 Zone. Any ideas?

  25. I am looking for a simple intruder alarm system for a large house. Not really interested in remote access and monitoring or systems requiring computers to load up and configure. Need 4 x RKP and 19 x PIRs. No PAs or door contacts, though will want to use PA functions on all the RKPs. I really like the simplicity of setting up and using the Accenta control panel, but am I right in thinking that 8 zones are the maximum available for PIRs? I could easily group together 2 or 3 PIRs on some of the zones but that can make fault finding more tedious. Would appreciate you confirming number of zones available to PIRs on Accenta Gen4, also any suggestions for another product.
