  7. I have bought 2 grade 3 roller shutter contacts from yourself. I am going to be installing them shortly and have removed them from their packaging to check them out. The wires from the contact are colour coded but as it is a galaxy panel I am connecting too I need 1k resistance. On the contact instructions it relates thus to the colour green, but the wires on the contact don't have this colour. What can I do to resolve this ? Use 1k resistors ?

Many thanks Regards Tony Sellwood

  13. I have just received my scantronic 525r remote and would like to know to pair it with the control panel so I can use it.

  14. Started by Secware,

I am using the 660 in conjunction with a scantronic 500r. The panel is 12v removed for alarm and the 660 is the opposite. The instalation guide refers to a dip switch to change the polarity. I cannot identify this on the board. Any ideas .

Hi, I bought a sensor scantronic 714REUR but i not able to associate with the central Homelink 75. I followed the steps in the manual: enter the menu to acquire the unit and then trigger the tamper on the sensor. The red activity led flashes regularly but not response from central. Other sensor i bought (738REUR) work correctly Thanks Stefano

  17. Hello, I have a Scantronic system consisting of a 9448 end station and 9427 RKP. I wish to add a further RKP and the only RKP apparently available is 9427EUR-80. Is this suitable?

  18. I have recently ordered the SCANTRONIC 9448EUR-90. I believe this item has been sent to me missing the RKP. Looking at the description it should come with 1 RKP see description below] http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=172 My order number is 21987. Can you let me know please?

  19. Started by Secware,

Hi, I purchased a Scantronic 9651 from you in July. I have now noticed that in Eng Mode all IR and Panel tampers are taken out (as expected) allowing me to access the components, but having just taken the external siren cover off the bell rang immediately. It may be that this is correct but I was not expecting this (other panels I have installed eliminate all tampers in Eng Mode, inc the Bell). I would appreciate it if you could advice me if this is correct. Also, if it is correct is there a way to avoid the bell going off during maintenance of the system. For your info I have fitted a Pyronix Belle to the 9651 panel as below. Belle 9651 B- 0v B+ 12v BA OP1 (Bell) STB O…

Hi, have wired up system as should be, have all cct returns, bell tamper, PA and global tamper returns as should be. But on powering up all the RKP is showing is software version 4.00. Have depowered and shorted out NVM & kick start pins and tried again but just stays the same.

  21. Started by Secware,

I have a Scantronic 9651 bought from you a few years ago. It's worked fine till the PA alarmed the other morning for no reason - i.e. it wasn't pressed. I put a new battery in it Feb 2014, probably the last time I opened it up. When I put the engineer's code in, in order to open up the PA to check it, rather than going into engineer mode it said "User code reqd". Odd?! Anyway, I then put the User Code in and it said "Set". This is not normal behaviour - any ideas? Thanks,

  22. Started by Secware,

You sold the above to my installer when I renovated my property in 2012. I have never actually used it but now looking to start using it. The engineer at the time left me an engineers code which i cannot find nor can I remember the code I used. Is there anyway I can now get the alarm working? Your advice would be greatly appreciated or any contact at Scantronic. Many thanks ps a contacted another firm told me I would have to buy a new panel through him which I find hard to believe.

  23. I have a system in a gun club that uses the scantronic 9800 which is now becoming unreliable due to its age. It is also in a humid environment which does not help! I would like to replace the unit with a new one so am interested in the 9752. Could you tell me if this is a good choice and if it is then can I (not an alarm engineer but good with electronics) swop the unit over easily. Thank you for your advice. S. Cooke

  24. I'm looking to replace a Scantronic 9853. Would the Eaton I-On interface with the existing PIR's etc? what the most suitable replacement would be as this panel is not in production now.

  25. Started by Secware,

We have a Scantronic 9752 system with 2 9955 rfx expanders. The zone in the garage has a dual tech pir and transmitted using a 735r. About every two days we get a Sup Fail message on this zone. Distance is about 45 yards - easy line of sight and only a thin slate roof for the signal to get through. Suspecting the transmitter was not strong enough we recently bought from you the 703r transmitter and unfortunately still have the same problem. We tried the zone on both 9955 receivers which both show a signal stength of 6. So we have effectively changed the transmitter and the receiver and appear to have a good signal but are still getting Sup fail messages. Any idea what …
