  1. Hi, I want to purchase 1x heat sensor and 2 x smoke sensor to add to my current BT VP1000 alarm system. Can you advise me on what is compatible with it.

  2. we have a question about the leds should they be left on after initial walk round test on the alarm? this is referred to on the installation manual to turn them off? or can they be left on?

  3. My current home burglar alarm system 'Accenta G3' (product code 8SP401N) is broken. The transformer has blown in the box due to recent power cut in my area. I currently have a Accenta G3 box and a seperate wired user control panel linked to the box. I have 4 wired sensors in the house 2 for the doors and 2 in rooms. There is an alarm box on the front of the house. We were wondering if we could simply replace the box with the new Accenta G4 system but still keep the old G3 user control panel and the existing sensors set up in the house and alarm box on the outside of the house as is i.e. is it simply case of un-wiring the existing G3 box, removing it from the wall and rep…

Reading the tecnical specification for the honeywell Accenta compact it says its maximum battery size is 2.1 A/h. As 2.1 A/h are getting harder to find, (ie they are now 2.2 or 2.3 A/h) is the size critical or is there a slight tolerance?

  6. Hello, I have a Visionic Powermaster 10 alarm system that I want to upgrade to connect to BroadBand. I believe the unit I need is the Powerlink 3? I have a couple of questions ... Is this the right unit for my alarm? Once connected to my home router, am I able to use it right away, for example, through a telephone app, to monitor my alarm system, any ip camera etc? Do I HAVE to subscribe to any third party service or is that just an extra option? Thanks

  9. I bought the visonic kp-160 from securitywarehouse along time ago. (Over 1 ago) I been waiting for a new firmware update since then for the kp-160. In sweden the kp-160 can handle both manuel type code and tags for over 1 year with a new firmware. When will this firmware be avalible on the uk versions of kp-160. Kp-160 is pretty useless when i cannot type code on it, i thought that could be done when i order it.

  10. I have a Scantronic I-ON 40 which is installed in a closet upstairs along with the wired keypad which has the LCD display and speaker (the one supplied with the control panel). I also have a i-rk01 wireless keypad downstairs for setting/unsetting the system upon entry/exit. Unfortunately, because the i-rk01 does not have a display or a speaker, it's pretty much useless as you can't hear or see what you're doing from downstairs. I am unable to relocate the wired keypad downstairs as I cannot run a cable, so is there an option to purchase a wireless keypad with a display or speaker? Or is there a separate wireless speaker that I can simply install in the closet downstairs a…

I have recently moved to this property which employs a 9427eur-80 rkp grade 1 fire alarm. Unfortunately there are no instructions on how to operate this alarm and I am wondering if you could possibly supply some information regarding it's operation etc. I understand that the house was built about 4 years ago. Thankyou in advance and wishing you all a happy new year.

I just bought a SPC4320, SPCN310, SPCK623. The read me first datasheet tells: " you must ensure the peripheral firmware revision is the same as, or greater than the firmware revision of the SPC controller". On my SPC4320 controller, the firmware is V3.4.5. What must the firmware version for the SPCN310 and SPCK623? I tell this question because, the SPCN310 is in fault (error code E51) and the SPCK doesn't make voice annuniciation. What does error code E51 means? Thanks in advance SM

  15. Hi, thinking of using the Texecom Speech and Text dialler with an Aico Ei428 relay on a smoke alarm system, the not received relay yet, but sales literature of relay says it has Volt free relay contacts, can be configured to switch up to 230V, would this dialler work with it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Just reduced the volume on the keypad by pressing and holding D then typing code 2000 to get into keypad menu. Adjusted to volume 1 and the sound reduce as this was completed. Pressed A to save and exit but keypad is frozen and no button works now. I can’t reset using numbers, proximity tag, key fob or app as access is denied. Need advice as to get the alarm working again. Help please.

I have just moved into a house in Windsor that has a Scantronic 9454 system. The previous owner left the manual, but no other information about the system. Can you tell me whether Scantronics is still in business? If they are not, has anyone taken over servicing their installations? If so, would it be possible to arrange an engineer to visit to reset the system and enable us to use it. Hope you can help.

Hello from Germany, I am going to buy a home-security-system from your shop and need some information on programming and controlling the system via PC. There is the Scantronic homelink 75 which seems to be connectable to PC via USB is there a control-software included in your package ? And second the Risco Wisdom - nothing to see about PC-connection and Software in you shop ? Would you please inform me about this two sets, thank you and regards Helmut

Hi, I had purchased a number of items from this site a while back, and just getting round to fitting. One of them was an AG6 bell box. My plan was to use this at the rear of the property to replace a dummy box, but to use the internal battery and LED to have a flashing deterrent at the rear. But I cant work out how to do this, or if its even possible? All instructions point towards needing the 12v coming from the panel, but I dont have this connection. Can the AG6 be set so that just the LED is flashing without panel connection? many thanks. https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/honeywell-activeguard-ag6-external-siren-blue-inc-white-cover-p-1973.html

  25. I have an Infinite Prime Alarm System installed. The alarm system has a PSTN module which I want to setup.I intend to run a two wires (blue/white and white/blue) from the master socket to the micro filter marked ‘from VDSL Line’.The two ‘OUT’ wires marked ‘To Modem’ would go to the two terminals on the PSTN module. Is this correct? Is the PSTN module performing like a modem? I do apologise for my lack of ignorance regarding the function of a PSTN module. Thanks
