  5. Hi, I self-installed a Euro Mini about a year ago. I have two keypads installed, one upstairs and one downstairs. It's been working fine since I installed it but now its giving me error 485 COMMNS LOST. Neither of the keypads respond. If I open the panel box or the keypad to fault find, the tamper alarm will sound and I have now way of overriding it! 1. Any ideas what would cause this problem (error 485)? Does the keypad or panel have a keypad fuse? If so would a blown fuse cause this error? 2. Without a working keypad, how do I override the tamper alarm? Thanks in advance.

I have purchased a belle and two twin alerts by pynonix (order no 33462) to install on a scantronic 9752 panel. Neither the scantronic nor either belle/twinalert manuals match each other so would like some guidance on wiring these up. The scantronic manual has the following output:NO1, NO2, Tr, 12V AUX and 0V, and a separate +, and LS for internal loudspeaker. The belle has B-, B+, BA, STB, SPARE, BT and TF, The twin alert has 12V+, 12V-, SPK and BA The belle shows the following connections for scantronic: B+ = 12V B- = 0v BA = BELL STB = STROBE- BT = TR TF = 0V The TwinAlert has: 12V+ = +12V 12V- = 0V SPK = SPKR (low) BA = BELL The s…

Hi, Our alarm has been giving us problems for about 2 weeks. It indicates an intermittent problem with the PA and low battery - the alarm goes off intermittently as well. we have changed the battery in the main control panel and the PA. We have inherited this system and have done nothing with it apart from keeping the PA to hand (and changing the batteries), it has never been armed. What advice can you give? We would be happy to disconnect the thing and switch it off completely - but when I try (by removing the fuse) the outside alarm goes off. Please help - it is driving us nuts especially during the night when it goes off for no reason. One thing - this probl…

  10. Hello, I resently puschased a PowerMater 10 alarm system from you and am now starting to install the equipment. There is a problem with the display on the master unit, it seems like it doesnt remove some of the characters and some texts looks really weird. For example, int the start screen it says "15:16EADY : " where i guess it should say "15:16 : READY ". If I have a fault it switches between "NOT READY TRBL" and "15:16EADY : " There are also some really strange characters for the zone naming when I try to add equipment to the system. Everything else seems to be working though, I can add equipment and arm/disarm the system. I have tried doing a "Factor…

I purchased an alarm system last year, and until today has worked without fault, however, when my Wife tried to set our alarm in the usual way using the ADE Simple Set she was unable to do so. When I came home I also tried without success. The unit shows both Power & Day lights but when either a 'learnt' or an 'unlearnt' fob is offered to the unit there is no response regardless of the length of time the fob is held against the unit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The unit is less than 12 months old

Attached is a wiring diagram for 'Double Pole', 'EOL' and using a Risco Guardtec CPX 'Zone Doubling' Conventional Double pole requires a pair for each part of the detection device, ie 'Alarm' and 'Tamper'. Wiring the Tamper Circuit as double pole will require a global tamper, this means that all devices with tamper protection are wired in series into the tamper connections of the control panel. Zone wiring is then wired normally straight into the relevant zone connection. This has the advantage of being simpler to understand, but has the disadvantage of a global tamper, ie being able to identify the device in tamper is impossible. Lower end panels only offer Double Po…

Do the Honeywell sensors, external siren and tag reader with built-in siren communicate over encrypted rolling code? Do these - FG8M, DFS8M, CO8M, IR8M, IRPI8M, DO8M, SEF8M and SPR-S8EZ, etc. I know the fobs and panic buttons do. These do - TCC800M, TCPA1B, etc. I am using the Honeywell Evohome Security at the moment, that uses the Le Sucre+ box. Is the Le Sucre+ box and the SPR-S8EZ grade 2 EN50131, if they are not grade 2 EN50131 is the dominion a better control panel to use instead? I know the sensors, external siren, fobs and panic buttons are grade 2 EN50131.

  22. Hi, How do you change user and engineer code to the Texecom premier 24 panels. The manual gives details to change from eighter 4,5 or 6 numbers. I have tried with no success to program with 4 numbers and won't except only if I use 6 digit. Please if any one can help I would be grateful as I don't want to use 6 digit. Thanks.

  23. I've got the issue with ADE Honeywell Easy Set bought from you about 2 years ago. It requires resetting(cutting the power off) at least twice a year. Is it a known issue with these? Basically the keyfobs stop functioning and reset always helps when it happen.

  24. Hi! I have previously purchased Visonic PowerMaster 10 Panel with Visonic PowerG KP-160 White Touch Screen Arming Station c/wProx. I wonder which Wireless Keyfob Transmitter would work with the current setup so that I could control the alarm from a distance?

Installed a new Galaxy Flex 20 with mk8 keypad and a couple of RF zones. Had some previous issue with the tampers and low battery in a few PIRs but that has been sorted now. I have a new 7.2Ah battery fully charged. Problem is when I set the alarm I get this "ALERT-BATT LOW", ent=CONTINUE SET on the panel, and then after pressing enter "ALERT-FAULT RST" ent=CONTINUE SET. So I can set the system by ignoring these error, but what are these errors coming from and how to get rid of them?
