CCTV and monitoring systems

  1. Started by jci,

I have a Mitsubishi DX-TL HDD recorder, and i am looking for some replacement monitors as my current screens are getting a bit dark. The Mitsubishi has BNC connectors with 1.0Vp-p and 75 ohm output. The Secware 17" TFT monitor has a BNC connection but doesn't state the voltage or resistance, can someone confirm that the monitor would be compatible with my recorder. Thanks.

  2. I know that Pelco unit is now obsolete but unfortunately we have to find somewhere some stocks of these because these units are intended to be used within a CCTV system already based on this type of equipment. We are talking about a system (for Bucharest subway) that has about 1000 video cameras and 90 multiplexers and is very difficult to put few new units with other operating procedures.

Hi, I am looking for a reliable replacement for an SEC-TFT-19 CCTV Monitor for my security camera home system. It is 12v , colour and has been quite reliable but recently packed up. Would you recommend this 19" TFT model as a direct replacement and does it come with a transformer. Do you have any cameras that work on a CnM system I think the cameras work on vga .

  7. Hi everyone, I’ve been working on people counting solutions that work with most standard IP/CCTV cameras, especially for retail stores, malls, and public venues. It’s been really interesting to see how different camera placements, resolutions, and lighting conditions affect accuracy. I’ve found that keeping the camera high and angled downwards usually gives the most reliable counts, and anonymizing the footage is a must for privacy compliance. I’d love to hear how others here handle similar analytics projects. Have any of you worked on footfall or people counting setups before? Any tips or pitfalls to share? Thanks!

Could you suggest what I would need to connect a 30 foot cat6A cable running from a DVR downstairs to the loft space upstairs. I'm considering 4 channel baluns? passive or active I understand the active needs power are there any other reasons to pick one against the other. On my cat6a cable it reads LSZH-CO1-003-003-09-038 (2014/32) 146200

hope you could advise a product for our requirements. We maintain the electrical installations for a poultry farmer in Devon, he would like to install a CCTV security system. He would like a camera positioned on each of the 6 buildings - looking for a high quality image day and night. From a central monitoring point the sheds are arranged on a radius of 200m (furthest shed - most sheds within 50m), hard wiring the cameras would be impractical. Do you have a wireless system that would be suitable.

I have an Apollo 8ch HD series DVR with what I presume are analogue cameras, using balons with dome cameras and a 12v feed via the same cat6 cable. Will the newer HD dome cameras work with this set up?

  25. Started by Secware,

I inherited a analogue 8 camera system, that is a couple of years old, and mostly functioning. Id like to upgrade 3 of the cameras, the DVR and all the paired PIRs. Is there a DVR that can manage old and new cameras and the paired PIRs? I'd like to get a alerts from the PIRs, then look at the live camera if needed. To keep false alarms to a minumum I am thinking about GJD or Optex VXS PIRs. Is this a good approach, or should I upgrade to the a POE IP NVR set up?
