I inherited a analogue 8 camera system, that is a couple of years old, and mostly functioning. Id like to upgrade 3 of the cameras, the DVR and all the paired PIRs.

Is there a DVR that can manage old and new cameras and the paired PIRs?

I'd like to get a alerts from the PIRs, then look at the live camera if needed. To keep false alarms to a minumum I am thinking about GJD or Optex VXS PIRs.

Is this a good approach, or should I upgrade to the a POE IP NVR set up?
