hi, I read the specs for the cameras I purchased off you and it says the current consumption for each camera is 200mA, since I've got 4 cameras I selected a 2A swich mode PSU just to be on the safe side. From having received the cameras, I've noticed the labels on them show 12v/700mA, and it also says this is the instructions I got with them? Is this current the maximum that the camera can take or the maximum that the camera may draw from the supply?, just if that's the case I'm guessing a 2A supply would overload.

  7. I know that Pelco unit is now obsolete but unfortunately we have to find somewhere some stocks of these because these units are intended to be used within a CCTV system already based on this type of equipment. We are talking about a system (for Bucharest subway) that has about 1000 video cameras and 90 multiplexers and is very difficult to put few new units with other operating procedures.

Hey there, i've got a ESP Digi-view4 CCTV system and I need to make a recording for the police, but i am currently struggling to connect it to my laptop. If you could provide me with the software i require, that would be amazing! thank you in advance.

  9. A friend of mine is after buying the SECWARE 4-Channel Entry Level 160Gb Digital Video Recorder (Product 101/135). He was hoping to use his laptop with it and it is windows vista with AVG antivirus. When loading the disk on to the PC it says that the system needs to be windows 2000 or XP. So it doesn't seem to support vista. AVG also detects that the disk contains a Trojan on it and shows up a warning every time I insert the disk. Do you have a vista version of the software that I can download from anywhere? Can I also ask you? Is this software for backup only or is there a way to view it through the laptop too? If not, is there a converter that is required to…

  12. Started by Dan-r,

Hi, I am considering purchase of 2 or 3 Axis 207 cameras. I need to be able to view the images on a single web page and set a feature to record if triggered by motion detection at certain times (ie after 6pm). Please could you advise if I will require additional software of any kind and also what is the light level 0.5lux? I nderstand this is low but can you give me some idea of just how dark this is? Many thanks Dan.

  13. Could you please advise whether you have in stock or could obtain a battery for a Computar Monitor model PSM012 and a price for delivery to Republic of Ireland. If you are unable perhaps you know of someone who can? When we tried to order the item online, the order form is set up such that we were unable to select the country of despatch, as only UK counties were available.

I am looking for IDE to SATA HDD converter. Please give me some technical support I am using Artnix ANX1640 DVR.

  15. I need to setup a camera focused on one specific cabinet in a bar. The camera needs to be activated when somebody opens that cabinet and shut off when it gets closed or 30 seconds after closing. I have a few cctv cameras already (from a different application and now un-used) but no DVR. I was wondering if there was some sort of wireless magnetic relay activation that could be used with a PC running some sort of recording software. I'm looking for ideas at this point since motion activation of the camera would be ludicrous. I'd be going through 18 hours of video a day to try and find the right 15 seconds. Unfortunately, the location of the cabinet precludes cables to it. A…

  16. Hi I am interested in using the Honeywell HD73X on the outside wall of a building, is there a special mounting bracket for it and if so how much.

  17. Started by dannywilko,

  18. I am trying to find a suitable PIR detector which will trigger the alarm input on the Axis camera. 1) Is the Optex EX-35T a suitable PIR for this and would I also need the Optex Wall bracket to mount onto a wall? 2) Also, presumably this Optex PIR would need to be wired to a power socket and to the alarm input of the camera directly. Is there a PIR detector which runs on batteries and also transmits to a receiver which could then trigger the alarm input of the camera i.e. so I could have the PIR detector outside free of wires, and the camera inside triggered by a receiver powered by mains electricity?

  19. Started by stevehollister,

Hi i would like to install a CCTV system with 4 cameras. 2 cameras on my house, 1 on my barn and 1 on my garage. I would like a good enough picture for face recognition day and night in case someone is snooping around. I would like them wired to the hard drive in a cupboard recording then a cable to my TV in my lounge which i can turn the channel over and see the 4 cameras. I have been looking at the ESP digiview 4 kit day and night and was wondering if this is up to the job. If not, any other recommendations. Nothing really expensive though!! Thanks Steve Forgot to mention I have a lighting system on the house with 500w floodlights but nothing on the garage or bar…

I called today and all your lines were busy. I am looking for a device to record someone who is damaging my customers property including a car which is parked outside their house. This device needs to operate in partial darkness. The image has to be good so that the police will arrest and a jury will be satisfied to convict. I can of course provide more info if required. Andy

  24. Started by Geoff_Ott,

Our community hall has a CCTV system based around a Mitsubishi 1024E time lapse recorder which is 7 years old. We are experiencing tape drive problems and wonder if the recorder has reached the end of its useful life. I note that the Vista VVRL-27 is listed as a replacement. Can you tell me if the changeover to the Vista is a simple exercise? Can you also advise me if a more up-to-date recorder using DVD technology is available? Many thanks and best wishes for 2008.
