Has anyone used ANPR via standard cameras? It seems to work ok with enough light and stationary or slow moving cars. I've seen it used at petrol stations and such like but can't seem to find much info on the web. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Regards, Daan

Can you please advise which model of your product is suitable for the following application? CCTV IP camera triggers alarm output when motion is detected using a dry contact (open or closed options with the camera settings are available) I am look for a suitable dry contact trigger relay which would switch on a 12V LED light (max Load less than 10A) Ideally if there is a potentiometer timer built in for the 12V output , but without is ok too.

I am looking to purchase a hard disc recorder to record images from up to four surveillance cameras (BNC connections) as part of my experimental work looking at behavioural responses of animals. I am a complete novice when it comes to this type of technology so please excuse my ignorance. We currently use a AverDiGi EB1304-MPEG4 to monitor the behaviours but would like a system that would automatically back up the images to an external hard disc drive. It would need to be MPEG4 to allow us to view the footage on our PC's and would be interested in any other features which you feel would benefit our work. Please advise us on which of your product would be most suited for t…

I previously sent this by email but received an automated response saying to post on this forum. I ordered a Panasonic BLC20 network camera from you on 12 June 2008. It was working fine until recently when it has become unresponsive. The network setup program does not detect the existence of the camera when it is set to wired mode and connected either directly into the computer or into the router. The factory reset button does not seem to have any affect. The routers Ethernet socket lights up when the camera is connected and set to wired and I've tried using a different cable. I've also tried entering the MAC address directly into the setup program and disabling all …

Our community hall has a CCTV system based around a Mitsubishi 1024E time lapse recorder which is 7 years old. We are experiencing tape drive problems and wonder if the recorder has reached the end of its useful life. I note that the Vista VVRL-27 is listed as a replacement. Can you tell me if the changeover to the Vista is a simple exercise? Can you also advise me if a more up-to-date recorder using DVD technology is available? Many thanks and best wishes for 2008.

I called today and all your lines were busy. I am looking for a device to record someone who is damaging my customers property including a car which is parked outside their house. This device needs to operate in partial darkness. The image has to be good so that the police will arrest and a jury will be satisfied to convict. I can of course provide more info if required. Andy

Hi, Please can you recommend me a security CCTV system for a recording studio. I would like the following: - 3 cameras - would much prefer wireless so dont have to drill holes through walls - be able to record onto a PC, preferably with some kind of software that records "incidents" ? - be able to access video remotely from a different location - night vision is nice but not essential Kind regards Mark
