  2. Yeah, I've seen his work, I believe it's a different device, and I have got further in to the protocol than he did. Thanks for commenting though!

  5. A bit of a long reach this one, but I'm trying to 'emulate' a keypad for a Scantronic 8136 panel. I've got as far as identifying it using a 150bit protocol of what seems to be long and short pulses on the signal wire done through releasing the signal wire from ground and letting the panel pull it back up to +14v for a period of time 150 times synchronised by a clock. I'm hoping to build on this so that I can control my antique alarm system from my phone! Anyone have any further information on how this works, as my attempts to play back the pulses (I think) I've copied are ignored by the panel, so I'm missing something!

  12. This will convert the detectors single NC relay contacts to 2 sets of Form C relay connections. If tamper is required that can be wired the same or just use the tamper on the alarm panel
  13. Yes you can do this with something like Pyronix Standalone Receiver Enforcer Series Two-Way Radio [UR2-WE] - £59.06 : , Best Price Promise But id strongly recommend upgrading the control panel to a Hybrid unit to pick up the existing hard wired detectors and add your rf one
  14. Hello I'm hoping for some advice if the following is possible and if so, which products are suitable. I have an old Optima XM system with hardwired contacts for the Front Door Zone. I am trying to understand if there is a suitable product that allows me to change the hardwired door contact to a wireless battery operated contact. Is there a wireless converter I can instal next to the control box that can take the wireless signal from the contact and convert to a hardwired connection between the wireless converter and the relevant zone contacts in the Optima controller. If so, are there any suggestions of products for the converter and/or door contact. Thanks for any advice in advance.

  19. Hi everyone, I’ve been working on people counting solutions that work with most standard IP/CCTV cameras, especially for retail stores, malls, and public venues. It’s been really interesting to see how different camera placements, resolutions, and lighting conditions affect accuracy. I’ve found that keeping the camera high and angled downwards usually gives the most reliable counts, and anonymizing the footage is a must for privacy compliance. I’d love to hear how others here handle similar analytics projects. Have any of you worked on footfall or people counting setups before? Any tips or pitfalls to share? Thanks!

  25. Hi All We have an old ADT Accord XPC home alarm system that's been excellent. Recently we've had the alarm go off around half an house after leaving the house, then it resets itself. I've done some tests and have come to the conclusion that the problem is with our front door Reed Switch sensor. My issue is tyring to identify the door sensor I need to order - as you can see by the photos, I've taken it apart and mine has two additional resistors. Every one I've ordered so far doesn't have these resistors and wont work with my alarm system. Any help in identifying this door sensor and the replacement I need would be much appreciated. Thanks

  27. Best thing to do is post photos of the transmitters and recievers The red light shows the device is activating, there will be a set of alarm contacts. these maybe C NO NC or just C and NC depending on age. This will only be on the recievers. Use a multimeter to confirm the contacts are changing states correctly

  29. Hoping for some advice and please note I am not an electrician I am just trying to troubleshoot a problem before calling one. I have two pairs of ax130 tn sensors operating lights in an outdoor domestic setting. My question is when I take the covers of the sensors what should I see as far as led lights are concerned. I have a sensor that has no light on it unless the beam is broken, it then turns red. The other sensors seem to have either a permanent red or green light on. Which is correct and can you suggest a way to troubleshoot the sensors to find out if I have a faulty one? Thank you in advance.
  30. Any panel would be suitable, the logic 6 was a double pole panel. All panels are now more complicated than the logic 6. Options include hkc, Eaton, pyronix texecom etc
  31. I have an old ADE Logic 6 wired control panel that I need to replace. It is linked to 3x wired PIRs and 3x wired door switches and I would like the replacement to have remote access via wi-fi link to my local router and suitable app. Can you suggest replacement that is not too complicated or expensive? Thanks David
