Secware Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I built my house 17 years ago with a wired alarm system. The six core wiring is inside the wall panels etc. Over the years I have replaced a couple of PIRs etc but now some of the other components are starting to fail (e.g. some parts of the LED displays do not show etc).I was looking to use the existing wiring and replace the control panel, two keypads and the external siren with the following:ADE Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 with LED KeypadSecware 12v 0.8A/h Value Alarm Battery (assuming the Mini Gen4 does not include a battery)ADE Honeywell LCD Keypad for Optima / Accenta Control PanelsHoneywell ActiveGuard AG6 External Siren Blue. Inc White CoverIs this feasible and is there anything else I should check before proceeding? Quote
Secware_Tech6 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 That looks fine but id use a bigger battery, ie a 2.3 A/h https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/enersys-12v-23-ah-battery-p-1339.html Quote
Secware Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 Thanks for your response, I purchased the components and have installedthem, looks good so far!I don't want to bother my neighbours too much when test the system so beforeI connect mains and battery supply what is the best way to temporarily deactivate the external siren ? If possible I want to leave the strobeactivated so I can see when strobe/bell box has been activated duringtesting. Quote
Secware_Tech6 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Don't connect the internal battery in the sab, also disconnect the bell -ve wire Quote
