  1. Looking for a shock sensor. I have an isolated gantry with access stairway. Trying to identify if there is a shock sensor / virbration sensor that can be placed on the metal structure that will send alarm when detection noted. Do you have a device that will perform in this manner

  2. Texicom Premier Elite 24 panel, siren and medusa PIRs, Order Number: ***** 31st March and recently completed the installation hard wiring 5 PIR’s into each of 5 of the 8 zones available within the panel. I have set all 5 zones ‘double pole / EOL’ but the panel is showing tamper fault error message. Following further investigations it appears the medusa PIR require 2 resistors to be installed across the tamper 2k2 ohm and zone 4k7 ohm. My first question is – is this correct and secondly do you stock these items.

  3. I do apologies you have been informed the PowerG keyfob replaces the PowerMax, but as mentioned in this thread this is not the case.

Can you please advise who it was you spoke with, failing that as our telephone calls are recorded please advise the day or number you called from so we are able to look into this further? (Please send this to sales@securitywarehouse.co.uk)

We will then be able to help with getting the item back to ourselves if we have indeed advised incorrectly.

  4. I have an Infinite Prime Alarm System installed. The alarm system has a PSTN module which I want to setup.
I intend to run a two wires (blue/white and white/blue) from the master socket to the micro filter marked ‘from VDSL Line’.
The two ‘OUT’ wires marked ‘To Modem’ would go to the two terminals on the PSTN module. Is this correct?
Is the PSTN module performing like a modem? I do apologise for my lack of ignorance regarding the function of a PSTN module.
    Thanks

  5. I am looking for some alarm PIR sensors that will operate on a 24v DC supply
for use on a double-decker bus that is being converted to a Men’s Shed
workshop. The standard bus supply is 24v and the alarm contacts would need
to be either N/O or N/C

as the alarm control panel does not use EOL resistors.

Please could you suggest some suitable devices.

  6. Hi I’m after a smart doorbell with led screen possible two call points with camera for outside. One on battery and one has cats 5 cable to customer wants it going to his phone if he is out. Don’t want ring also had bad experience with hik that has same looking outside button as ring. Also need fixed turret outdoor camera low definition with I.r anolouge

  7. Can you please advise which model of your product is suitable for the
    following application?

CCTV IP camera triggers alarm output when motion is detected using a dry
contact (open or closed options with the camera settings are available) I
am look for a suitable dry contact trigger relay which would switch on a
12V LED light (max Load less than 10A)

Ideally if there is a potentiometer timer built in for the 12V output , but
    without is ok too.

  8. Homelink 75 panel – before you despatch it would it be possible for me to speak to someone for advice? My panel currently runs for about 3/4 hours and then dies. When I replace the rechargeable batteries it’s fine again and when reconnected to the psu it appears to be running from the mains supply – can these psu’s repeatedly fail over the course of a few hours under load?

  9. I have a customer who is looking for a MiFare reader which will be able to pick up tokens from 50cm – 1m away. They simply require a reader, they have the tokens already and they do not need it to communicate with a controller, all they wish for is the beep to acknowledge token presence. Will one of the proximity readers you supply meet those requirements?

From my research I’ve determined that HF RFID will give the range I’m seeking, do you have any products which will read passively (non-powered tokens too) at a distance of minimum 50cm?

All I would need for this is a beep to confirm the presence of the token, just detection of certain tokens.

  10. Hi guys, I’m curently using a couple of Texecom RF 360 PIR sensors (from your good selves). I’ve had them in place for several years covering some common hall/landing areas, all good.

    Last year I got a cat…

Even on pulse count=2 these sensors are not pet immune, and as a result I’ve had to stop arming the alarm, otherwise the cat will set off false alarms all the time. ?

I need to stick with 360 ceiling mounted sensors as the wiring is in place inside a finished ceiling. I have a little void, so I could potentially change from surface to recessed flush mounting if necessary…

Is there such a thing as a pet immune 360 ceiling PIR?  would perhaps a dual-tech sensor work better for me? – like the DT version of the same Texecom sensor?
