Hi, I'm trying to source a system for a mostly vacant property I own. Must have GSM ability, preferably with remote antenna, as most networks arent great. Minimum requirements for now 3 x PIR ( prefer wired ) 2 x Smokes ( prefer wired ) 2 x External siren/strobe ( wired ) 2 x Internal siren ( I want it to be loud inside ) Battery backup Most GSM systems seem to offer control via the mobile ? that would be handy. Also, although this is not a permanent install for now, I want the panel to be future proof. With perhaps addition of automatic-gates via mobile along with more PIR's and door contacts. Any reccomendations ? I have had one local guy price a…

Hi all Looking to purchase a wireless alarm for my house. 5pir's, 1 contact, panel. Would like to use existing wired bell box if possible. A good battery life would also be nice. Been looking at the infinite prime alarm, and the visonic powermax kit. The Scantronic 500r also looks ok Only problem is that the powermax plugs in with a plug in transformer, wouldn'y that be easy to defeat by a burglar? Any advice would be great Thanks Josh

Hi all, I hope this generates some discussion and hopefully for me an informed conslusion which will send me down the right path to purchase. I am looking at installing my first wireless alarm system (I have installed a few wired systems in the past but that was a long time ago) so technology has improved somewhat however I have some specific requirements which I am hoping some expert guidance will help me choose an appropriate system. The property is a new build with 3 levels, there is a garage within the build however there is no access from inside the house (only garage door access), gates to each side of the property and the rear of the property has a 30 ft …

Hello, I would like to install a wireless alarm system in my house. The walls and floors on all levels are made of concrete/masonry so wireless strength is an import consideration. I am also keen to integrate the alarm with other smart home products i.e. Nest smoke alarm, Belkin Wemo products, etc. My idea is that if the alarm is triggered I can set the lights to be turned on. Whilst smart home connectivity is desirable, the following items are essential. iOS/Android app for remote monitoring and control. I want a proper internet app not just an app that sends sms commands to the control panel. I can hardwire the control panel to my router. Support for 3 ke…

Hi I am a newbie here, I had an older alarm panel and as the PIR's were rubbish I replaced all the PIR's with new Bosch ones, but the control panel tamper sensors have had it so now I need a new control panel. I would really like to fit a door contact or virbration sensor to the rear patio doors but it would be a real pain to get a cable to it. Are there any wireless panels that could accept wired and wireless sensors? I am happy with all the other sensors I have so I don't want to install a complete wireless system. Thanks for your help Chris

TICKET QUESTION Hi, I am an electrician and am looking for a wireless alarm system to install for a customer. Like the look of the Risco kit but sold out. I need one keypad, a fob, door magnet, and 3 PIR's plus external sounder. Is it practical to build the kit up from bits or do you suggest something else?? Budget not much more than £220. Thanks Howard

Good morning, I've bought a GalaxyFlex and a RF Portal from Honeywell which work like a charm I would like to add some Wireless shock/vibration sensor with Door Contact in my house. I've bought the "Honeywell Le Sucre Wireless Shock Sensor with Contact White" ( Model: SHKC8M ), but it's quite big. I would prefer something smaller, more discreet , like the Honeywell Wireless Door/window compact magnetic contact Brown ( Model: DO800M2 ), but with the shock sensor feature Could you advise me another product (shock + contact) which would be compatible with the GalaxyFlex ? Thanks in advance for your help Cedric

Hi The receiver panel is a RFX08 and a 9751 control unit. The client has a 722 fob that will activate the panic alarm. However they have requested something like a one button alarm that can be attached to a wrist band/necklace for an elderly persons use around the home. Thanks PeterG

HI again Following on from another question i would also like to know how to wire more than 1 sensor on a circuit. Whenever in the past i have done this, when testing the system it has failed to activate. I assume this can be done as some systems have more than 8 detectors. Chris

I have a need to add 2 (ideally 3) door contacts onto a single zone on a texecom premier 48. I have tried putting resistors in each device but this wont work. I have looked in the manual and its not very detailed. It it possible or do i need to buy an expander such as the 8xe? Thanks Eddie

Hi, first post Can anybody tell me the recommended way of wiring a Texecom Premier48 and PSU200XP combination to the mains supply? Would each panel require its own fused spur? I will not be undertaking this work myself, but would like to have some knowledge of what is required before approaching an electrician. Thanks in advance.

HI I just installed a Risco WisDom panel and was wondering how to wire a Gardtec eusosec xs7 Bellbox to it. A wiring diagram would be very helpful if anyone can help. The panel comes with 2.2k resistors , the lid tamper is fine but the bell loop fault keeps coming up, and the alarm activating does not ring the external bell. Thanks

The Risco Wisdom comes in two versions. A plain LCD driven panel and an LCD & Voice driven panel, giving set, unset and alarm voice prompts. All three kit pages mention: 'Two Model: LCDversion and LCD version with voice prompts' As it doesnt specifically say on your kits im wondering which version you sell?
