Please can anyone help resolve this problem with Intruder Alarm system Scantronic 9800+. (9827) In brief, there is a code showing as bF which I understand through d/loading the User manual means: battery fault on the control panel. The alarm has been going off several times a day for nearly a week and I disconnected the ringer several days ago but am too worried to open up the control panel in case it then goes off again and I can't press the code to stop the noise once the faccia is removed. However, I need to see inside in order to know what type of battery I need to buy to replace the present faulty battery. Any assistance would be very much appreciated since I h…

Hi my home has been fitted with a scantronic 9651 system, it has p.i.rs in all down stairs rooms. The front and rear doors have surface mounted contacts. When I set the system and leave via my front door the alarm continues to beep and will not arm once I close the door. This has happened before and I was advised to replace the door contact which i did, this solved the problem until now! The same thing has happened again I have checked the contact and everything seems to be OK with no loose wires. The contact is grade 2 with a small circuit board inside, it also has a small spring tamper mechanism. Can anyone help? regards Steve

  14. I ordered a Scantronic I-ON 40 from yourselves and I would like to protect my integral garage. Can you let me know whether an additional Scantronic EXCELR 12m Wireless PIR (XCELR) would suffice? Or should I consider an alternative trigger for the garage? Also, can you let me know which remote keyfobs work with the I-ON 40? I ordered a Scantronic I-FB01 Remote set/unset Keyring Fob (I-FB01) as part of my original order which does not appear to be compatible

  15. Started by Secware,

I've purchased a replacement LCD keypad for my Accente G4 Mini as the old keypad has a faulty button. I installed the system myself a few years ago so have no issue with the physical wiring etc. I'm just wondering if I will need to re programme the whole system once I change the keypad or are the settings saved in the main panel? I'm just trying to work out if its a 10 minute job or if it will take longer as I will need to re programme the system.

  19. Started by Secware,

My problem is an Optima Compact giving spurious tamper alarms on the control panel. These are totally random and alerting the internal sounder not the outside alarm box when in day mode. The strobe flashes when this event occurs but as I say no alarm. When the system is set the alarm box works normally. On a suggestion I have changed the alarm panel battery . Spurious alarms from the panel seemed cured for 10 days but now have returned . Any possible answer to the issue appreciated.

  20. I successfully installed my SPC4320 with IR sensor and Elmdene ELM300 internal sounder. This configuration works properly today. I wanted to connect the external Rapier sounder but I have two issues: - Tamper detection: I wired the tamper on sounder as explained in the Rapier manual by choosing the 2.2K resistor on the board and connected it directly to the TR pin on the SPC4320 but the tamper remains faulty even if the sounder is closed and fixed (sensors on the Rapier work well as confirmed by beep from the sounder). - EX+ and EX- signals: In SPC Pro->Panel setting->Controller input and output->Output (please see attached screenshot), I try to commute the ext.…

If the system is triggered, the bell sounds always, even the third, fourth, … time when the number of bell re-arms is set to two. I’ve already disconnected all the connections and made a factory reset, but it isn’t making a solution. Please can you help me?
