  2. Started by peter,

Hi, I'm fitting a Honeywell Galaxy G2-20 at the moment (4th installation of the galaxy range) and usually would just fit a dialler however i saw the CSL Dualcom for sale on SW:- http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2438 It says that the first years monitoring is included, i'm just wondering who the ARC is, how the registration is completed and the ongoing yearly costs. Thanks Peter

  4. Hello, we have just had an outside office built - detached from the house by 1m. We currently have an Accenta G3 hard-wired panel with three spare zones. If I purchase Texecom GEC-0002 Ricichet Expansion pack and three Ricochet PIRs, will it allow me to attach the three wireless detectors to the spare zones? Your advice would be most welcome.

  7. On the verge of ordering the new Powermaster 10 kit from Visonic.Looks exceptional. Two questions if I may: 1) I understand that the line from the telephone master socket must connect to LINE. However is it crucial that the main telephone is connected to SET. I think this set-up allows the alarm to sieze the incoming call. Would it be possible to run the telephone off an extension socket or from the master socket itself. Also there is some info about RJ31X plug which gets over the problem- is this USA only? I also understand that the GPRS/GPS module gets over the problem 2)An IP camera is available in this system. Can this be accessed by the homeuser o…

  10. Started by tumbleweed,

Please can anyone help resolve this problem with Intruder Alarm system Scantronic 9800+. (9827) In brief, there is a code showing as bF which I understand through d/loading the User manual means: battery fault on the control panel. The alarm has been going off several times a day for nearly a week and I disconnected the ringer several days ago but am too worried to open up the control panel in case it then goes off again and I can't press the code to stop the noise once the faccia is removed. However, I need to see inside in order to know what type of battery I need to buy to replace the present faulty battery. Any assistance would be very much appreciated since I h…

Can you set and unset via your telephone after an activation and can it send you a text message to let you know when the alarm is set/unset? I can't find any spec online fort his product. 13. Started by tin2080,

Hi my home has been fitted with a scantronic 9651 system, it has p.i.rs in all down stairs rooms. The front and rear doors have surface mounted contacts. When I set the system and leave via my front door the alarm continues to beep and will not arm once I close the door. This has happened before and I was advised to replace the door contact which i did, this solved the problem until now! The same thing has happened again I have checked the contact and everything seems to be OK with no loose wires. The contact is grade 2 with a small circuit board inside, it also has a small spring tamper mechanism. Can anyone help? regards Steve

  22. I ordered a Scantronic I-ON 40 from yourselves and I would like to protect my integral garage. Can you let me know whether an additional Scantronic EXCELR 12m Wireless PIR (XCELR) would suffice? Or should I consider an alternative trigger for the garage? Also, can you let me know which remote keyfobs work with the I-ON 40? I ordered a Scantronic I-FB01 Remote set/unset Keyring Fob (I-FB01) as part of my original order which does not appear to be compatible

  23. Started by Secware,

I've purchased a replacement LCD keypad for my Accente G4 Mini as the old keypad has a faulty button. I installed the system myself a few years ago so have no issue with the physical wiring etc. I'm just wondering if I will need to re programme the whole system once I change the keypad or are the settings saved in the main panel? I'm just trying to work out if its a 10 minute job or if it will take longer as I will need to re programme the system.
