I have a texecom premier which has alarmed but I cannot re set it as it looks like it may need an engineers code. Is there some way of re booting it to put it back to factory default codes. If not, rather than call out the alarm company is it possible to just replace the control panel. Do I need to replace the local lcd keypad as well. If I disconnect the control panel to replace it will the external siren go off? Regards

  11. Hi I have installed a Visonic Powermaster 30 and an LCD keypad KP250 I read in some KP-250 documents a reference to "Input Voltage (V DC) - 12" under "Power Description" section. The electronics board in fact shows "DC IN" next to a 2 pin JST H2 connector. I was wondering if: the lcd keypad can in fact be powered up from an external power source? if affirmative, what is the connector pinout (positive and negative pins)? and voltage to apply is the stated 12v? thanks in advance r.

I can hear beeps when i press buttons however there is no count down when the alarm is setting, there is no sound when a recorded message is played and there is no chime when the door opens... Am i missing something? i have turned the volume up - the beep gets louder. I have pressed 8 and the alert(bell) icon is lit and the chime is set to on and melody chime. Do i need another speaker installing or is my keypad faulty? Thanks in advance

The chime that comes from the KP250 keypad is pitiful, even on max setting its only just audible if your in front of it. I cant see anything in the documentation that says the indoor siren can be used as as a chime speaker. Please can someone confirm if this is possible?

  20. We moved into our house previously without pets but with one of the above alarm panels. I need to replace three PIR with pet friendly ones. You advertise the Scantronic 430, is this compatible with the 9450 panel. Also I wanted to install a dialler but it seems that you are out of stock of all diallers. If there is one that is compatible with my control panel could you please let me know. Also I would like a clue as to how to wire up the dialler to my panel.

  22. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me decide on a simple & effective alarm system. What I need is listed below. 1) 1 door contact 2) Minimum 2 PIR's (wired or not) 3) Key fob to de/activate alarm 4) Some sort of notification on activation (email, text/call) 5) camera that can record images/video when there is motion and the ability to send the images to a phone AND be viewable over the internet Ideally, I'd like the system to be controllable remotely and have as little wiring as possible. I have made allowance for 2 cat5 cables to the 2 known Camera/PIR locations. (Depending on the cost, I might also include a door peephole camera - again, I'…
