Hi, I have just bought from you the Honeywell galaxy g2-12 and mk7 keypad, Honeywell 8IR150 pirs and AG6 bell box, plus Knight G2 5 door contacts. Can you please advise how to wire a pir at the pir end and panel end and where to place resistors. The g2-12 to keypad appears straightforward but does it need a resistor at the keypad end between A and B. Also do all unused zones need a resistor across them to terminate. Could you also confirm bellbox wiring to panel.

Bought myself a Jablotron JA-83 panel. The manual advises to connect only 1 wired keypad (JA-81E). Additinional keypads should be connected wireless. Does anyone have an idea why ? Is this panel not able to work with 2 keypads on the same keypad connectors? Does the panel delivers not enough power to feed more than 1 keypad? Or does Jablotron likes to sell wireless keypads above wired ? I really would like to know why...

  7. Hi, I've just installed a Scantronic Homelink55 and the hardwired side of this has worked perfectly straight away. However the wireless side has proved more problematic ? I am tring to 'link' the RFX16 unit with 2 x 703r transmitters, I can get the reciever into learn mode, either -- flashing for the sysetm to allocate the channel or, for instance with 09 flashing (I have configured it to addres from zone 09 onwards). I have the 703r set to have the Ln set to E -enabled; however, with 12v connected the green nlight is on but unless I change the oP there is no activity from the RED LED!! I've tried marrying the both 703rs and have tried both connected to the panel bus …

Hello! I have bought a nice second hand DSC wired panel (PC1864) and is looking for some detectors. I am among other things considering the https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/rokonet-shocktec-with-magnet-white-p-620.html As I understand it this unit does not require any external analyzer card or anything and should work as any stand alone wired detector with my DSC right? I am thinking on using it for the doors on my house - do the main part of the detector in this case need to be mounted on the door itself or will it detect vibrations from break ins even if mounted on the frame? Do this unit have space internally to mount resistor? Do you have some install…

  16. I would like to know if you can help me specify a new system based on the Galaxy Dimension. I need it to be able to control 4 doors using mag locks / press to release. Video door entry integration and also intruder function. Proxy tag / swipe for enable/diable of the building alarm. I think I need a Galaxy Dimension GD-48 but need help with the other parts. You seem to be the best value and I need to make a purchase by next week at the latest.

  17. My system is showing a fault "Telecommand Batt Low" which refers to the 723r Telecmmand remote setting device. I have changed the batteries in the 3 telecommand devices I have however the system continues to show the error. I have moved the system into Engineer mode and it will not now exit. Going through the command set to exit Engineer Mode ie 99 tick, the systems goes through the "checking system bus" bit ok and after agreeing to "exit eng" the unit starts the "Checking System" routine and then flags up the "Telecommand Batt Low" problem again and will exit the Engineer Mode. How do I get out of this, as I say I have put new batteries in the remotes but this does not …

Hi I would be interested in buying Visonic alarm system. However I am not clear on the PowerLink functionality. Do I have to have Visonic IPMP server installed separately to support PowerLink for exactly this: sending emails/MMS messages with pictures from connected cameras UPON alarm trigger.

  21. Hi I need to replace my current wired alarm system.. I have a mains wired alarm with wired connections. I have a couple of PIR's that are wired, which I see no reason to replace as the cables are hidden. I would like to add additional pirs wireless. I can see execom Kit 3 32 Zone Self-Contained Wireless Kit which looks like it can take 4 wired zones. So I could install this on my current set-up and add wirless pir's to additional rooms. I have a couple of questions. How is the alarm disabled. Is it on the control panel? I see it comes with 2xPremier Elite SmartKey. What exactly is this? Can this disable the alarm without having to put in a code? I have 2 children which I …

Secondly, I would be installing a gsm unit in the control panel as there is no landline in the house, which unit is best for the PowerMax complete system ?
