My house has 15 contacts of relays (one on each door and on each window), they had been placed during the construction of the house. The wires are in the wall and completely hidden. I'm looking for wired alarm with an ability of extension ( number of wired captors or also wireless captors). The centrale must be quite (no siren) to be dissimulated from the burglars. Risco beams 72 series (7225,7250 and 7275). The data sheet tells me what the tamper output is but not the alarm output ie if it a changeover relay, contact closure in alarm condition etc.

What is the difference between Texecom Premier TD-W and GJD D-Tect X wireless? Are they both intended to perform the same job? Is there any drawback for Texecom product compared to the GJD one? How can i choose between these two?

Hi I am interested in purchasing the Scantronic Homelink 55 system for use at my private residence - this will allow me to upgrade my existing system and utilise the alarm cabling with the added ability to install future wireless devices without the need to install any further cables. My query is this - when installing the alarm can all of the programming functionality be achieved by the use of the keypad included in the pack - or does any specialist device or software need to be purchased? Hi all... I am a sparky with a builder that would like an additional keypad adding to his Gardtec 591. The current keypad is a Contour with ACE - I assume this is a keyfob system. He only has one code, and the system was under contract with an alarm company by the previous owner, so... 1. Is his code likely to allow the integration of another keypad? 2. As he doesn't have any keyfobs (ACE) does he need another ACE compatible keypad - if not what pad would do? 3. Does the 591 allow factory resets? 4. Is a new system the better option? hi i have a job for an alarm system in a barn with no heating and damp/sub zero temps. the barn has two doors one sliding and one side entrance/fire ext. it has mains electric for power supply. also want a gsm dialer for the system. i cannot find a system that will be ok with the damp conditions. please advise, kind regards

Hi, I was looking at something like the Scantronic 9651 to replace my faulty C&K Securitech 700L control unit. However I was wondering if there is something I could get that would replace my control unit and use my existing hard-wired PIRs, door contacts etc., but adds 'smart' functions like alerts to smartphone when the alarm goes off, remote unsetting to let a neighbor in etc.? I am having difficulty making the low temperature output on my SD3 dialler work correctly. I would like the dialler to send me a text message when temperature drops below the alarm threshold. However, despite the "test outputs" suggesting all is functioning OK the unit does not seem to be triggering the alarm properly. I have a customer who is after adding a wireless keypad onto a Texacom Premier 24 (wired) system. I was under the impression that this was not possible without replacing the panel and all accessories (PIRs, Contacts etc) completely. Could you please advise me if there is a product whereby I can add a wireless keypad to this system

Hello, I have a wired fire and intruder alarm system, with the main hub in my house. The sensors are in a recording studio at the end of my garden. The fire/smoke sensor, above my recording desk is inaccessible and has failed. As the wires are inaccessible, I want to replace it with a wireless option. What do you suggest?

We have recently moved in to a house fitted with a Scantronic 9448 alarm system. We believe we need to replace the PIR detectors to pet tolerant ones (as we have two house cats) and I wanted to check before I go ahead and purchase them that the 430 PIR will be compatible with the existing system?

I have recently changed a Optima compact Gen 4 panel as a favour for someone. The first panel that was bought through Amazon had a fault on it. A second unit has since been fitted and all is working except the new Siren which is a Reson 8. The unit comes with pre-fitted links across TA TAMP and PA. The manual states that these should be in place when powering the unit up. This contradicts some advice on online instruction that says to remove the link to T A when wiring the siren. The external siren does not sound or flash when an alarm is activated, internal sounder in board works OK and all zones work fine on a walk test. No LED,s in the siren are vi…

Hello, I am planning on getting a new intruder alamr panel. My accenta g4 is not as reliable as you may think. With the dan thing making a buzzing noise thru the speakers, display going funny, LEDs flickering and as many other faults you could think of! I am planning on buying a scantronic 9448 control panel (the control box with 1 RKP). I have 5 current intruder ones (1 panic), 1 fire and one spare. I recently purchased a Scantronic 9651 alarm control unit from Security Warehouse; I installed the unit but when I initialised it, it came up with \'Zone Flt\' on all 8 zones; this error is not included in the insstallation manual. I need to speak with someone to establish if the unit is faulty.

I have an Accenta Mini 8 G3 alarm system. I need a new key pad. The original one 8EP219 I am told is out of date and been replaced with 8EP416. Can I change the keypad to the new one with no problems or is there likely to be compatability issues?
