Proposed Gargage Alarm System Before placing a package order I just need to confirm that the Scantronic 9651EN-43 Panel will support 2 x remote extension speakers. I note it has 3 fully programmable outputs, I need a volt free relay / contact output (N/C healthy) Open Circuit on alarm condition for remote signalling to an existing Scantronic 9752 panel located in the house (this will then represent a seperate zone alarm, just like say a PIR in alarm condition going from N/C to open circuit) - please could you advise, order ready to go.

Is it possible when there are any alarm activations to call a phone number. I have been looking at the Gardex 595 & GT490, and Pyronix KX PIR would these be suit…

Hi I am looking for an alarm for a workshop/shed, 1 opening window, 1 fixed window and double doors. I have used Scantronic previously and therefore would like the following:- Scantronic 9448, with 2 contact switches, a glass break sensor, Elmdene INT400 and a battery. (I have avoided PIR\\\'s because of false alarms) Could you advise if this is suitable or are there better options, please advise battery type for above.

I am about to order the Scantronic Homelink 55 from your site but have a couple of questions... Can I add an extra keypad with prox reader? The description of the Homelink mentions only the 9940 and 41 but they are no longer available I think? Will the Scantronic PIR's (wired types) work OK with the system, as I only need wireless contacts for the doors, all other sensors will be wired? Any recommendations for a suitable external sounder?

I have bourght quite a few of these & on wiring & checking them find none sound when tested. All you get is a constant lit LED. Is there a possiblity that all are faulty or has someone designed the ultimate pointless product? If one went into alarm I'd expect all linked alarms to sound. Is this not the case with all linked 12v linked detectors?

Hello I have managed to obtain a copy of Wintex(v5) and the Veritas UDL. I've read that Wintex can also allow the programming of the veritas excel. Is this true? I can't find the option under "account" that allows you to choose a veritas; the list just has the premier systems... With the Veritas UDL am I required to buy a texecom PC-COM? Can't I just make my own RS232 using the tx rx and 0v (pinout 2 3 5 on the rs232) Can you please tell me whether or not I can build my own cable?

Hi, I have just finished fitting a Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 with LCD control panel system to my house. I have got to the point of powering the system up and setting it up. The manual says "check that the factory fitted links are connected to the terminals PA, TAMP and T-A. I have fitted it to PA, the TAMP connections are being used for the other sensors on the system, and the T-A terminals are wired to the Bell Box. I then connect the mains power and the battery. The manual says there should be an audible indication, which there is. The 'power' light on the G4 main unit illuminates. The LCD keypad lights up and displays "Accenta G4 RKP F131-01-111". The 'power'…

What is the differences between the CQR FW/GD04 Communicator (GSM) and the visonic GSM-100? Are there any other gsm-modules that are compatible with the pm+? My pm+ controlpanel is bought in sweden, will I have any problems if I buy any of the gsm-modules you have from UK? Will the sms-messages still be in swedish?

My keypad has given up the ghost with some butons not working so I cannot disable the alarm with the code. I've taken off the keypad and it has 4 wires connected. It looks very simple to replace so is it simply a case of buying a replacement and installing in the same manner? When I reconnect the power and the alarm starts going, I should be able to enter my code and all is back to normal? Or is it more complicated than that? I've been quoted for a replacment & fitting but it seems such a simple job to do yourself. Do I need to be aware of anything else?

My new house was pre-wired for a hard wired alarm which I planned to fit myself. The guy who run the cabling did a good job except he did not wire for contacts on the doors. There is no chance to wire them now as I cannot run cables thrugh the dry wall panels. My solution I think is something like a Homelink 55 I will have 6 PIR, three door contacts, and two RKP's as I have a point upstairs for night setting the system. Can I add a second 9943 RKP to the Homelink 55 ? The Homelink 55 has 6 wired zones which would cover the PIR's. I hope I could use wireless contacts for the rest. Prox tags would also be a nice addition. Grateful for any advic…

I have installed the door contact (to replace one that ceased to operate). I have followed the "deleting" and "learning" instructions for my 500r panel and acheived the "double beep" to indicate that the panel has learned the code. However when the panel is "set", although all other sensors set off the alarm when activated, the door sensor does not activate the alarm on door opening or tamper (the led on the sensor does operate). Please advise what my next step should be.
