What PIR detector should I fit in my garage? My heating boiler is also in there and will be in the sight line.I thought about the Honeywell DT 7450 but I have read some bad reports about it.

I installed 3 years ago a Scantronic 9651 Hardwired Control Unit. I wish to install 3 new PIR detectors and would enquire which of your products is most suitable. I note Scantronic do a pet tolerant PIR ref 430. Is this compatable with the standard 6 wire system?

Hi all, I have just purchased the MCM-140+ keypad for use with an standard Powermax Alarm. When the alarm is in Enroll Keyfob mode and I press the * for two seconds, the alarm does not recognise the keypad. I have just re-enrolled all other sensors and a keyfob without any problems. Do you have a wall mounted Pir covering more than 120 degrees? Like GE's Sharpshooter

Is the Secware 12v 2.2A/h Value Alarm Battery (product number 70/118) suitable for the above control panel? Is it normal for this battery to require replacing after 5 years?

Looking to fit a low cost wire alarm into a small 2 bed house. Need 2x door contacts, 2 PIR and 1 sounder. Ideally I would prefer a seperate small keypad, as there is little room in the hall for the panel, and would like to add in 2 smoke detectors. Price is key, could anyone recommend a panel or kit.

I am looking for a simple intruder alarm system for a large house. Not really interested in remote access and monitoring or systems requiring computers to load up and configure. Need 4 x RKP and 19 x PIRs. No PAs or door contacts, though will want to use PA functions on all the RKPs. I really like the simplicity of setting up and using the Accenta control panel, but am I right in thinking that 8 zones are the maximum available for PIRs? I could easily group together 2 or 3 PIRs on some of the zones but that can make fault finding more tedious. Would appreciate you confirming number of zones available to PIRs on Accenta Gen4, also any suggestions for another product.

I have a Eurosec CP8L LCD. This has been very reliable. However I have had a new front door fitted which meant using a new surface mounted reed sensor for my entry/Exit contact wired in series with my back door sensor. I want to check my zone settings. I want to reset my entry time to 30secs, unfortunately I am unable to programme the zones, the display just keeps going back to "do you want to Program Chime" and will not allow me to proceed further to Program Zones. I have just purchased a Secware Optima 2 x PIR Full Kit, ADE Honeywell 8SP419A-UK control panel kit from this site, what do I need to do to program it to use one PRI sensor as it's going in a garage, PRI is on zone 2, with say a 10 second entry and exit time.

currently have a Scantronic 9452 alarm system that is going off at random times when not activated. When activated the alarm goes off and the tamper light is flashing even though the alarm has not been tampered with. Also the service and fault light flash intermittently.
