i was thinking that i could use some wire and connect the auxiliary input of MC-302E PG2 with a outdoor PIR sensor but i don't know if this could be done.I was thinking of the OPTEX BX80 NR (maybe if it fits i install the MC302E PG2 inside the BX80NR)cause i can't imagine a way to have my balcony covered (12x2,4m) with the TOWER 20AM PG2. Do you think i could do such a thing? or what other option i have to cover this area with Visonic compatible product ?

Hi there I have an MCR-304 + 3 x MCT-303's in my basket. 2/. From your experience in the field what is the effective range. In my application I have a fair amount of brickwork through which the RF must travel - probably about 15M to the furthest 303 and about 3 x 9" conventional brick walls. 3/. Are the 303's 'supervised transmitters'. Thanks.

  7. Hi I spoke to someone this afternoon but didn't catch the name as I was on the mobile. The issue is I have a Scantronic 8136 that's dead in the water. The keypads report the right time, and the alarm company is able to dial in and see the log. Engineer came today and said it looks pretty likely we need to change the panel. Whe I spoke to you this afternoon, couldn't hear very well what you told me on the phone about what the problem might be (doing school run at the time). I would be happy to replace the panel given reported quality issues. Please advise in writing which panels would be suitable for a swap out, with minimal wiring changes, no rewiring…

I am using the 660 in conjunction with a scantronic 500r. The panel is 12v removed for alarm and the 660 is the opposite. The instalation guide refers to a dip switch to change the polarity. I cannot identify this on the board. Any ideas .

I have a 20+ year old burglar system. I plan to get Texecom Veritas R8 panel. 1. Are there likely to be problems connecting to existing bell and PIRs? 2. Do I need Veritas R8, rather than Veritas, if I want to connect Speech unit at a later stage? Thank you.
