Is it possible to use an app for arming/disarming an premier Elite alarm, without being connected to a control central ? I know it is possible to control the premier elite with ComGSM and text messaging, but is it possible to use an app with ComGSM, without being connected to a control central ?

I have installed this panel as a direct replacement to an older veritas excel panel as such 5 x pir, 2 x external sounders & 2 x smoke sensors are configured as previous eol set up ie 2 resistors in the sensors. I had a functional premier elite rkp to hand and have installed this with the new system. I cannot get the system to set up properly, it displays system alerts for the panel lid tamper etc even though the panel lid id closed securely as well as tamper faults for 2 of the 5 pirs, i cannot see any wiring faults and am now thinking this may be a panel fault, can you give me a little guidance please. Hi there, i bought one of these pirs in my last order. I fit it and was sure it was working but i tested it the other day and it doesnt seem to be working correctly. It does not trigger the alarm, seems that it is permanently closed. Is there something i need to do, ie change the factory settings on the sensor or does it need returning? Regards

I am interested in buying a Premier Elite 48 panel from you and see that it comes with 8 Zones as standard. I understand that there are expansion slots in the panel to add more zones each slot in card gives an additional 8 zones. My installation will require around 28 Zones in total, so my questions are: How many expansion slots are there in the Elite 48 Panel before having to go to an external Expansion Module? Does Texecom produce a 16 Zone internal card or only 8 Zone? If I have to use an external module, is this powered from the main panel or will I require an addition Power Supply? What configuration will I need to have 32 Zones in total which will give me some …

i intend fitting a texacom premier and the client is wanting us to use the flush type keypads . can you advise as to the back boxes we need for these as we need them for the first fix stage . at the moment that will be two into brick and one optionally into plasterboard . can we order these upfront or do they only come with the keypads when ordered ?

If i purchse another Texecom VERITAS EXCEL C/W LCD RKP will any of the new style Texecom Premier Flush Mounted Chrome LCD Keypads work with the excel unit and keypad.

Having had a Texecom R8 installed since 1996 the only thing that has now failed is the "5" on the Keypad, so I have replaced the old one with new 2010 version. The swap out has worked fine, but the Red Zone 1 & 3 lamps are on all the time, I have check the wiring and all is OK, and I have done the the scan for Keypads "0 9" from the new keypad, all appears to be OK, but the the Red Zone 1 & 3 lamps remain on (on the keypad) Date stamp on the Main box is also 1996, so is this a backwards compatabity issue with the new keypad and the old main box?

I've a customer with a veritas R8 plus alarm system, which is not working. The keypad / control has the set & tamper lights lit, but none of the indicator lights. They've had a couple of people look at it, & although one company changed the battery which corrected the problem for about 6 weeks. It is now the same the control panel battery is showing 12.7v on the meter . The keypad does not appear to be functioning correctly as when some buttons are pressed they operate 2 buttons at once. I'm thionking of changing the panel, but also wondered if it could be a problem with the battery in the outside alarm box. I wondered if you have come across this problem before, …

Hi, thinking of using the Texecom Speech and Text dialler with an Aico Ei428 relay on a smoke alarm system, the not received relay yet, but sales literature of relay says it has Volt free relay contacts, can be configured to switch up to 230V, would this dialler work with it? When I wire the panel to activate output 1 when a fire alarm is triggered it doesn't seem to work when I activate a fire alarm from a remote keypad. Is the RKP fire alarm different then from a smoke detector?

TKC 12v DC Relay - Handy Little Relay can this function as a self actuating bell unit - ie: senses voltage failure and activates a relay to sound bell/trigger event? If not do you have such a unit?

I am looking to upgrade my scantronics 9800 alarm system to remote control arm and disarm. I want to keep my exiting pir's and door contact and outside siren/ strobe box. Also I would like to keep the option of the keypad as well. I was looking at the LGSIX/01 unit. Will this unit do what I want. Hello, I would be grateful if you could help me in any way with my problem as outlined as follows. My son has recently moved into a house with an existing burgular alarm. Unfortunately, the alarm control box doesn't have any manufacturers name or address. The only markings on the front of the box is what appears to be "9448".
