Hi just a quick question does the above control panel come with the ability to call or text you if your alarm has been activated or do you have to buy extra parts? As screwfix are advertising it comes with Voice alerts up to 3 telephone numbers when alarm is activated.

I have just purchased a Honeywell Accenta Gen4 intruder alarm. While the installation manual is reasonably good, the wiring of the internal sounder is unclear. My old alarm had an internal siren connected in parallel with the strobe light in the external bell box. The internal siren is polarity conscious in that it must be wired up the correct way. No problem so far. I suppose I could connect it in the same was as it was fitted in the previous installation, but it doesn't seem quite right, When I look at the installation, it does not make any reference to an internal siren/sounder, but it does make reference to an extension speaker (16 ohms) that may be connected across…

I am looking for a recommendation for a wireless single channel transmitter and receiver to be used as a PA button. The receiver would be wired to a Scantronic 9651. Would I be right to think the Visonic MCR-304 is now obsolete?

I wonder if you can help. I have a Galaxy G2-20 and 8 ACTIV8 PIR hard wired sensors. The sensors have 8 terminals inside EOL TAM TAM RLY RLY EOL +12 -12 How do I connect these to the Galaxy? Should I choose normal closed or double balanced which is the default? What is the difference between these two modes? James

We have a scantronic 9448 alarm system and have recently had a new front door fitted. The original door was solid wood and had a door sensor fitted into the top of the door. Our new door is upvc and we require a flush fitting sensor which can be connected to the existing wiring. Please advise on which item we should select.

Hello, I have a scantronic 500r.+ system installed in 2002 which has been regularly serviced and works as installed. I now have a low battery light for one of the PIRs but the installer & servicer seems to have gone out of business as his phone contact is no longer recognised. Please could you say how to change the battery on the PIR as I do not know whether it has a tamper proof feature or not, hence, if I interfere with the PIR will it set off the alarm? upon power uo of my recently purchased optima gen4 copact alarm the alarm sounds- enter code 0123 and the alarm siren silences. i have no flashing tamper light despite the cover being off,i have a flashing sos led which will not go out whatever i press? i have the global tamper pa & ta terminals shorted out but still am unable to extinguish the sos led. do you think the unit is faulty or am i missing something obvious

I Think that I require, Control panel (can be hidden under stairs) 1-off Nice looking Lcd keypad (for front door) 1-off keypad (for rear door) 3-off wired Quad PIR for inside 2-off wired Dual tech PIR for outhouse (extreme cold/heat). 3-off internal Door contacts. 1-off garage Door contacts. Panic Button Txt or voice dialler Listen in function Dial in to arm/disarm would be nice or over web via phone? It would be good if the alarm had wired and wireless zones in case I need to upgrade after the floors went down I really like the Honeywell Galaxy Dimension GD-48C with Touchsceen Keypad Kit, but is it over kill? I'm look for some shock sensors (to be fitted to window frames) preferably wired and that work with DSC PC range. I was looking at the Aritech GS612 but I've not had much joy with it albeit the door sensor with magnet works fine.

I'm intrested in a low cost wireless alarm system that I can connect into a PC. I would be looking at about 5 PIR sensors and 2 door sensors to start. In an ideal world multiple codes or RFID tags could be used to set unset.

Accenta G4 mini from you. Connected it up and fully tested including under alarm conditions. Last week I had an alarm activation which worked fine BUT the strobe will not reset. Thinking I had a faulty siren I bought a Honeywell ActiveGuard AG3 from you. I powered down the panel and connected the new siren. Repowered and the strobe was immediately flashing and still won't reset! Powered down the panel and connected the siren with a short length of new cable. Repowered the panel and the strobe was immediately flashing and still won't reset.

We recently purchased a system which includes 2 x Pyronix Deltabell and a honeywell ADE GEN4 metal system. When reading the Pyronix data sheet it states that the bell trigger to the Deltabell must not be in paralled ( ie from one output ) two outputs must be used. The problem is I dont think the GEN 4 panel has a second bell output terminal, or have i missed it? As the deltabell is class 3 we have to install a resistor (4k7) from the +ve to the bell trigger ( to give it aprox 2v or above during normal mode ). With one deltabell this works fine. How should I connect the other deltabell? would a solution be to install a 2K resistor in place of the 4K7 and set both bells t…
