is there anyway of turning down the volume of the ADE Honeywell MSN Multi Siren MS-N on the entry & exit of alarm?

My installation went fine and system has been working fine for 2 months now. Yesterday we had a power cut and the alarm went off immediately. On investigation I found that the battery fuse was blown and that the charging circuit was generating no voltage at all. This means voltage from the supply side of the fuse holder is not present. The low voltage AC supply from the transformer is ok. If I put in a new fuse ( all I have at home is 1A ) and then connect up the battery the fuse blows immediately. The open circuit voltage on the battery is around 12.5 volts and I imagine that is the charge it had when I bought it. The battery is not a short circuit . If I ignore the …

Hi there, I'm looking to install a house alarm for my property and I require a little bit of assistance finding the right piece of kit for me. Ideally I want the system to be wireless. I want one of those Klaxxons which will alert the area if there was a break in. I would need 12 Pirs. 7 Door Sensors. 7 window sensors. I also want the main box ideally to be hidden away, and use a wireless keypads by the doors. (2). Also I'm not so fussed if the alarm bell has to wired up. Our premises has a security system supplied by you (quite a while ago now) and is fitted with a Honeywell AG6 external sounder. I need to disconnect the mains as well as the battery for an extended period and, after putting in the engineer code can remove various items, but when I remove the battery, the AG6 sounder keeps sounding. I ordered a Scantronic I-ON 40 from yourselves and I would like to protect my integral garage. Can you let me know whether an additional Scantronic EXCELR 12m Wireless PIR (XCELR) would suffice? Or should I consider an alternative trigger for the garage? Also, can you let me know which remote keyfobs work with the I-ON 40? I ordered a Scantronic I-FB01 Remote set/unset Keyring Fob (I-FB01) as part of my original order which does not appear to be compatible

How many keypads can I put on an I-on 50 if I am using 50 zones

Just bought an apartment with the above alarm fitted. At present no one seems to able to give us the access codes rendering the unit useless to us. Is there anyone who can reset it for us and/or give some helpful advice on its use. Thanks, best regards

I installed an I-on40 and two keypads, KP-01. I had a problem earlier in the year whereby the keypads beep indicating 'Duplicate Entry.' I tried replacing the keypads with a spare, but this did not resolve the issue. I had thought that it might be caused by line termination, so I changed that. It worked for several months, with one terminated and the other unterminated, but the 'Duplicate Entry'; has returned. KP1 is located about 1 meter away from the I-on40; KP2 is located about 10 meters away. KP1 is set to address 4; KP2 to address 2. The error occurs whether I try setting or unsetting the I-on40 either manually, by typing in the code, or by using a fob.

I'm trying to install the Ion-40 wired keypad with my existing i-on 40 main panel. At the first mains switch on (with back-up battery and wired keypad connected) the manual says you should get option A and B on the keypad display. I get this on my display but the entire left side of the keypad buttons -including the A, B, C & D buttons (but excluding the big square button) do not do anything - ie when I press them, nothing happens. Pressing the others makes a beep and the keypad back lighting comes on for a few seconds.
