  3. I was wondering if you could help me? I am looking at this gsm module as a means of contact me. I have no telephone landline at the premises I want to install this and I need something that will phone me like a mobile phone and not just send text messages as this would not work, due to hearing a text message at night. Also how many numbers can be stored/programmed into the module?

  4. I need to fit 5 hard wired fire alarms in my house as part of a loft conversion. I bought a Scantronic 9751 based burglar alarm system from you a few years ago. Do you supply fire alarms that can be hard wired into this system?

  5. These PIRs require a power supply of min. 9V which I intend to draw from the Powermaster Central 12V auxiliary output, as it is backed up by a battery. The PIRs consume 19mA max, so 38 mA in total, which exceeds the Powermaster specs of 36 mA max for this auxiliary output. Can you suggest an alternative power output please, or do you think it's no problem to connect the PIRs as planned to the Central.

  6. Hi, I want to purchase 1x heat sensor and 2 x smoke sensor to add to my current BT VP1000 alarm system. Can you advise me on what is compatible with it.

  8. I am keen to purchase a Texecom Veritas Excel Panel with LCD keypad and an additional LED keypad for a second door. I see your kit includes the LCD keypad and I can order a second keypad. I already have one R8 Plus installed and can program these. I am also keen to obtain the PC-COM cable to make programming easier. I have found one on your site. I wanted to ask if this was compatible with the Excel panel and also if the software is supplied or easily downloaded. I would also like to order a 12v battery for this. I can obtain this from you or from local Maplin - i would prefer to order all from one place if I can. Finally, I already have PIRs in place as this will…

  12. Can help me to find the right burglar alarm and smoke/heat detectors for domestic use please?

  13. I am looking for a simple intruder alarm system for a large house. Not really interested in remote access and monitoring or systems requiring computers to load up and configure. Need 4 x RKP and 19 x PIRs. No PAs or door contacts, though will want to use PA functions on all the RKPs. I really like the simplicity of setting up and using the Accenta control panel, but am I right in thinking that 8 zones are the maximum available for PIRs? I could easily group together 2 or 3 PIRs on some of the zones but that can make fault finding more tedious. Would appreciate you confirming number of zones available to PIRs on Accenta Gen4, also any suggestions for another product.

  14. I have a flat which is fairly secure and unlikely to be broken into. However for £200 or so it seems a good idea to fit an alarm. I have been considering the Yale Premium and was looking at a forum on http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=255745&start=30. One contributor was not so keen on the Yale alarm and stated: ?If you really want a Yale system, try this instead. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1015 Similar price and a graded product. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2202 I have looked at your site but find it difficult to…

  20. In some reason dialer installed at customer site is not working properly. HI there, I just need to have a chat about order a, x1, Honeywell Panel with key pad, 8EP396A x4, PIRs, pet friendly x1, door sensor x1, Informer Speech dialer 8EP276 x2, Mains smoke alarm linked, prefare AICO x1, Mains heat alarm linked, prefare AICO x1, 100M alarm cable. 23. I am replacing a Karisma plus alarm system in a large house. Unfortunately this randomly goes off & is especially susceptible to fluorescent lights. Requirements for new system:- Be able to identify all items individually and have them displayed with name on RKP eg kitchen window, front door. House has several loops of 4 core (unscreened) cable so can't put items on individual wiring. No windows = 17 no doors = 3 no PIRs = 6 no fire detectors = 2 no RKPs = 3 System should have dialer + speech module or GSM Hopefully system can be set to detect two events before alarming.

  24. re: Honeywell Intellisense IS215T. We would like to replace all motion sensors in our house with the IS215T. There are approximately 20no. Can we simply buy these and connect up to existing wiring? Do we need a new control box?

  25. My current alarm Guardall Rascal Super is broken so needs replacing(we are using 4 programmed zones and chime). I'd like to replace the control unit unit and bellbox but use existing wiring, sensors and internal speaker. I'm looking at the MDT Avanti 8 and AG6 bellbox (current bellbox looks tatty and has no strobe). 1. Is the chime quite loud? We would like to hear if someone enters the house from the other side of the building. 2. The Rascall Super system is 12v and I think the Avanti 8 is 13.8v, will our existing sensors work with the new control unit?
