Pairing Powermax + devices

Featured Replies

Hi

I prevously bought a Powermax + system from you and I'm having two problems.

I can't seem to be able to pair the external siren (MCS 710).

I follow the instructions to the letter but when I transmit and press the self test button no pairing is done, it just start sounding (loud)

My second problem is similar, I try to pair the MCM 140 keypad and it feels like the pairing is complete but I can not turn on the alarm via the keypad.

I'm I missing someting here?

Best regards

re the keypad issue.

Is it working at all? If so which functions can you perform and which cant you.

re sounder issue, how old is your powermax (ie what revision board / order date) as only later versions accept the fully wireless sounder.

How many sounders do you currently have on the system?

Hi,

I did a reset of the systm and it might work better now  :), it's hard to test since I can't activate the system, it says NOT READY and my eventlog shows:

General Restore

Sys Tamper

System Reset

Enter Installer

I know you have to correct these issues to clear the eventlog but how in the world do I do that? I meen "General Restore" sounds more like a FYI rather than a problem that I can correct.

Best regards

Alarm ordered 20/05/2009

whats your order number i will check the variant you have from that.

YOu are right you will need to restore those issues. It will only function when you clear the not ready. If you check the status it will tell you which units are the problem. Or you could read the log.
