omega1 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Hi Could you tell me what passive would replace this one as it has 3 extra connections to the normal 6. These are marked C+ , E- , and FTA. There is a wire looped from the power minus connection to the FTA connection and a brown wire in the cable connected to the C+ connection. What is the purpose of these extra connections ? The reason for replacement is that this passive leaves the led indicator on permanently which doesn't seem correct. I have always used risco quads in my own setup and they seem very reliable. Would one of these fit the bill ? The panel is a Scantronic 9800. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction for a replacement. Thanks in advance Kevin Quote
Secware_Tech6 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Without Knowing the sensor its hard to say Id suggest that FTA is first to alarm. THis would suggest there is more than 1 sensor on the zone and the device is latching E- could be LED Enable - C+ i dont know. Risco quads are good units, i personally wouldnt always spec a quad in a domestic, unless there was a reason. Usually go for a good dual edge PIR Quote
Secware_Tech6 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Just noticed you put the sensor in the title. Sorry about that C+ is the Latch Freeze inout E- is the LED enable FTA is the first to alarm link if linking multiple detectors. Quote
Secware Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Hi Kevin, I hope this helps you a little more, the MEQ12 or the KX15DQ is the nearest ones to the old Magnum pir's Regards Elaine Quote
