September 6, 20169 yr I bought Honeywell DT8012F5 and IS3012 sensors with Pet immunity but when my cat with (5Kgs) jumps to a table or to a sofa or when it walk on the table, it sets off the sensor. It already happened with both types of sensors in different rooms.Do you know why this is happening with Pet immunity sensors? How can I solve this?
September 6, 20169 yr Pet sensors are not best especially with cats changing height as they appear much taller to the sensor. How close to the sensor is the cat when it alarms. Best bet in any pet environment is perimeter protection
September 7, 20169 yr The cat is approximately 4m away from the sensor when it alarms. As the sensor says Pet friendly/immunity I was not expecting to have problems with my cat. Is there any way to have the sensor not generating false alarms with the cat? Meanwhile I read that an option could be to cover the bottom portion of the lens. Does it make sense?
September 7, 20169 yr Yes masking out the table area is definitely an option What are your settings and mounting height?
September 8, 20169 yr The mouting height is 2,3m. The settings is PI enabled. I didn't find any link explaining how to apply masks. Do you know where I can find explanations?
