I purchased an alarm system last year, and until today has worked without fault, however, when my Wife tried to set our alarm in the usual way using the ADE Simple Set she was unable to do so. When I came home I also tried without success. The unit shows both Power & Day lights but when either a 'learnt' or an 'unlearnt' fob is offered to the unit there is no response regardless of the length of time the fob is held against the unit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The unit is less than 12 months old

Honeywell have confirmed this as an issue with manufacturer, if manufactured prior to 45th week in 2013.  The reader would need resetting between 1 and 3 times in 12 months.  Honeywell do offer a two year guarantee, so we can replace with a current model.
