Intruder Alarms

Hi can i fit a dialler to a scantronic 9651, or can you suggest somethink.

I'm currently self-building a house and am trying to decide on the alarm system (wired v wireless primarily) We have a pet (uses ground floor only) so PIR may be an issue. There are 3 doors (entrance, back and bi-fold) and 9 ground floor windows, plus 2 upstairs by a flat roof. I think I'd prefer wireless if possible, but I have a detached garage with games room above (1.5m from house). I also like the Texecom flush control panel - can you connect 2 of these? Can you recommend a system please?

This has to be a Grad 3 system. I need 6 shutter contacts, 2 recessed door contacts, 1 surface door contact, 4 cieling pir, 4 smoke detectors, 3 panic buttons, speeach and text dialar, 1 bell box and cover and battries, I also want a remote kepad so I can switch of alarm in stoarage area when needed. If I am going to have items on individual zones then wich texacom alram do I need. Most of the items are straight forward but need to know more about the remote keypad do I need to purchase some extra card extra. you can call me so I can explain to you thanks.

The problem seems to come from the battery supply from motherboard no power to charge battery so flat battery will the unit need to be replaced

We have Optex FX-59 QZ alarm system which now it says to replace batteries however there are no batteries inside the sensors and in the panel. What are we supposed to do in this case? The alarm went off and an orange light keeps flashing.

Hi, I'm trying to source a system for a mostly vacant property I own. Must have GSM ability, preferably with remote antenna, as most networks arent great. Minimum requirements for now 3 x PIR ( prefer wired ) 2 x Smokes ( prefer wired ) 2 x External siren/strobe ( wired ) 2 x Internal siren ( I want it to be loud inside ) Battery backup Most GSM systems seem to offer control via the mobile ? that would be handy. On the display screen two lines of Pixels have failed making it difficult to read what is on the lower part of the screen, I have re-booted the unit but there is no change. Do you have any further suggestions for rectifying the fault?

Hi. I'm trying to find a light beam sensor to work on a driveway, to send a signal to my house when a vehicle or person breaks the beam. Can be hard-wired or wireless - the location is about 120m from the house - the back entrance to a farm. I think you must do such devices but I can't see them online.

I am using the 660 in conjunction with a scantronic 500r. The panel is 12v removed for alarm and the 660 is the opposite. The instalation guide refers to a dip switch to change the polarity. I cannot identify this on the board. Any ideas .

Recently purchased a GD-96 with Touchcentre. No communication between the two devices, suspect one to be faulty. Assistance please.

i intend fitting a texacom premier and the client is wanting us to use the flush type keypads . can you advise as to the back boxes we need for these as we need them for the first fix stage . at the moment that will be two into brick and one optionally into plasterboard . can we order these upfront or do they only come with the keypads when ordered ?

hi i have a job for an alarm system in a barn with no heating and damp/sub zero temps. the barn has two doors one sliding and one side entrance/fire ext. it has mains electric for power supply. also want a gsm dialer for the system. i cannot find a system that will be ok with the damp conditions. please advise, kind regards

i ordered a Texecom alarm R8+ in 2010. I setup the alarm last year. i got some PIR petwise frmo texecom. Well, i have false alarm during the night 1x / each month in the room where there is a sofa. I have 4 cats. I guess, they jump from the sofa. Do you know a trick to decrease the sensitivity ? or there is another solution / PIR to avoid those alarms to buy ?

Aluminum is not ferromagnetic but is paramagnetic metal. I would appreciate any input on this concern

I am looking to purchase an alarm system and the Castle care has been recommended. On you site i can see the euro mini panel which comes with keypad but as i require a second keypad the only thing i can find is a unit with built in reader. Is there a basic keypad available?
