Yesterday, I tried to plug the 8XE internal zone expander on my Premier 24, but it failed: the flash programming connector is longer than the expander support pillars. So it is not possible to clip the pillars. I can make photos if you need to better understand the issue. Please advise. Thanks! (I opened ticket # 24795 for that, but the answer was to ask on the support forum).

Will Eaton I-ON40H panel work with Rapier 6510 sounder? Is there a cloud subscription fee to pay for Eaton I-ON40H e.g. for image verification emails?

  4. I recently purchased a galaxy flex 20 and 4 DT7450-EOL motion sensors. I wired the sensor according to the instruction manual of the motion sensor. the fault loop to zone 1, Alarm test and tamper to zone 2. The "test" to the +12V since the flex control panel doesn't have a "remote led control". see galaxt installation manual page 17 for the wiring schem in the flex manual. see page 3 for the wiring of the sensor This doesn't seem to work. Can anybody tell if the wiring is correct? I find it odd that no connection is made on the V+ and V- of the sensor.

Hi I'm looking for a wireless intruder alarm for a one floor house. It has to include - 6 wireless PIR detectors - 1 wireless external sounder - GSM/GPRS notification capability. Right now i'm investigating the rokonet wisdom and the visonic powermax. Questions 1- Which one do you think would be the most suitable system? You can refer other systems 2- I didn't find any GSM/GPRS adaptor for the rokonet wisdom in your site. The Wisdom panel refers the capability, is it already included? If not which module should be used? Thanks Nuno

I need a 5 PIR, 8-10 shock sensors and 1 door contact with a wired outside bell, with a dial out facility. I also want to be able to hardwire the system to the garage later on. If not is there a better system that you could recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated Many thanks, Surinder J

Hi, Perhaps I could ask your advice as to what alarm system I should install. Firstly I should point out that I am a chartered instrumentation engineer so am used to dealing with complex wired and programmable systems - provided that the appropriate instructions are available to me. I have a three bed property which is in a rural location. The village that I live in has been subject to a recent spate of breakins and alarm systems are springing up all over. My priorities are 1) To discourage a burgalr to even attempting a breakin. 2) Should he attempt a breakin to alarm at the earliest possible opportunity preferably before he has actualy gained access. Hello, We recently moved into a house that has a non functional wired ITEC Meridian panel (prob. 20 years old?). It has power to it but the front keypad does not respond to any key presses, and the alarm it not activated by the tamper switches on the panel door. The last occupiers never used it (over 12 years or so) and did not have any codes or manuals so I was thinking that the easiest solution would be to fit a new panel. I've no experience with alarms but I am an electronics engineer so am happy to give it a try with some helpful advice:) Present zone layout: Z1: PIR on stairs (6 core cable) Z2: Garage door magnetic reed switch (6 core cable) Z3: 5 of GS610…

Bought myself a Jablotron JA-83 panel. The manual advises to connect only 1 wired keypad (JA-81E). Additinional keypads should be connected wireless. Does anyone have an idea why ? Is this panel not able to work with 2 keypads on the same keypad connectors? Does the panel delivers not enough power to feed more than 1 keypad? Or does Jablotron likes to sell wireless keypads above wired ? I really would like to know why...

I saw a website similar to ebay recently. One local guy is selling GSM jammers for a tenner or so. He had 10K feedbacks by the time I found it. I guess 9999 of them was bought by thieves. Hence I understand GSM alarms are placebo for the owners... My question however - the wireless alarm sensors work on frequencies close to GSM 300-900MHz right? So it should be fairly simple to mask sensors with a jammer. As long as the jammed sensors cannot send alarm signal to the control panel - the whole system is pecked... is this the right picture? (I mean the more expensive alarms must have somewhat a poll interval alarm but I guess that should be around 2+ minutes - in…

  21. I require a wired alarm system supporting a minimum of 8 detectors with the following key characteristics: Ability to set/unset using the lock on the final exit door, eg using a Chubb 3G114 Single Pole Shunt Lock or similar If the alarm is activated the ability to disable the strobe (in addition to the sounder) after a predetermined period of time, so there is no external indication of the alarm having been triggered Can anyone please recommend the a control panel / sounder combination which is able to support this configuration Many Thanks KB

Hi Folks, Looking to replace a failing alarm system we currently have in place at a county scout hut. It consists of three PIR's, auto dialar and the central panel/main box. The alarm is activated by locking he door and de-activated my unlocking the door! (Clever stuff ) For ease of use we'd like to keep this system. For numerous reasons we wont be using a control panel to type in the code! Any suggestions? Just looking for a replacement system.. Something that we can use the existing lock with! (The door lock is simply wired straight to the alarm) Regards, Scott

I have a GD520, i have some zones set as 24h Function ( doors ), assined to diferent groups, those zones are already connected to existent RIO's EX: 3012.
