In your opinion,which pet PIR tends to work the best and is more reliable for a wired system.I have looked at Bosch,Honeywell,Visonic and Texecon but info is not conclusive.Thanks

I am looking to alarm my workshop. It consists of 3 rooms currently with plans to add another room in the future. There are 2 up and over doors, 1 standard access door and 1 double split opening door. 2 of these doors will be entry points with a keypad located close by. Only one of the rooms has a window. There is a cat flap in one of the doors for pet access. I have been looking on your website and come up with the following list of products for the system based around a Honeywell Accenta G4 Mini panel. What battery is needed for the 8EP396A-UK?

I have the above as part of my alarm system. The external sounder does not seem to be operating although it seems to try. The strobe lights still flash when the system is set. I assume this is something to do with the piezo in the unit rather than a fuse. The unit is about 5 years old. If I buy the back plate will that come with everything I need to replace the sounder and is it likely that the fixings will line up or has the design been changed?

Hi I want to add a magnetic lock that released when the panel is unset. I see there are 2 outputs on the Premier 48 both that can take 1A but this seems alot. is it really ok to wire directly on to the pannel without needing a relay. Im thinking of running the SSP Mini Magnetic Lock unmonitored on the door conserned. if I do need a relay do you have a prepackaged one with power supply etc? Any help apprecated. Rob

Can anyone recomend an alarm system that will notify by text message for alarm triggers including set/unset (ie access to the premise) I currently mainly fit texecom products and have used voice diallers regularly but a client now wants that bit more! Any advice welcome Thanks

Hi, I\\\'m after a reliable wireless system, 5 zones down stairs one of which is a gargae, 1 zone upstairs but a pir would not be suitable in this area. The sounds to be wireless operated but mains powered. I\\\'d prefer a keypad activation & deactivation. Also is there a posibility it can notfiy you via text if your alarm is going off.

Does this come with a battery ?? If not, which one do I need to order for it. Which Remote keypad do I need to order for it.

Just purchased a host of intruder alarm equipment from you - it arrived yesterday. The control panel is the Texecom Premier 48. Does this panel have an intergrated sounder that will sound when the alarm is activated (entry/exit and on activation) or do I have to buy something additional?

I used the Honeywell Activ8 PIR in an installation in a house where they have a cat. I have set the tolerance to 15kg and pulse to medium (jumper link between 2 and 3) There have been a few false alarms in different rooms and none of the sensors face a window or stairs, there are chairs and sofas though. I have changed the sensors to the highest tolerance yesterday - 25kg and fitted the jumper link between 3 and 4. Which I wouldn't think is necessary for a cat. Is there anything i may have missed that caused that problem? I don't know yet whether the change I made is good yet as i've only done it yesterday. I have installed, approx 9 years ago, a scantronic 500r.+ system and have had the remote control stolen during a break in. My fear is they will return. Is it possible replace the control box with a new one in order to make the remote U/S, Or is it possible to disable the remote. I have 4 PIRs one door sensor and a remote key pad. I have programed all pir siren contacts and tcu remote but when trying to set full or part set the tcu displays operation cancelled instead of arming any ideas please

I am assembling the individual components of the Optima 4 kit minus the SAB strobe. I am substituting the Odyssey 3E, as I already have the diamond shaped cover.
