Intruder Alarms

I have a set of garages with two alarms installed that both join to a single masterblaster in the roof. I want a dialer that rings me or another member of the family if the alarm is triggered or the power is cut on the system. Sorry, I'm not very technical, but can the GSM dialer be connected in the roof space on the same wires as the masterblaster? Obviously the masterblaster will not work if the power goes down and so I wanted an autodialler as a back up. If so how much wiring would be needed and is it straight forward?

Hi I am new to wiring up alarm systems and have 2 SC550/WH door contacts to add into a Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 system. There are no instructions for wiring the 6 connectors on the contacts. I assume the middle two are for the tamper. Where do the power and relay connect?

Hi, just been delivered secware optima2 pet kit to replace old optima system. Wired unit fine, now trying to wire siren. Old siren has connections, linked to wire colours in () Strobe + (White (strobe)) Strobe - (lt Green (strobe)) T (Blue (scb)) E (Yellow (scb)) A is linked back to E via metal loop D (Red (bell)) R (blk (bell)) New siren has: ST- R- SW- V+ V- The given instructions are for the Optima XL4 and don't seem to make any sense. How do you loop wire two Honeywell Intellisense IS215TCE PIRs into one zone when using a ADE Honeywell Accenta Metal Gen4 control panel?

Hi I intend to upgrade my home security,the system,has a Veritas R8 panel and 8 PIR(IFSAC MQ1510)zones along with 2x RKP there have been many false alarms, due to, I think the poor PIR's, I was looking at installing up to 14 zones (2 door contacts, 8 Pir, 2 dual tech PIR,(orangery & Kitchen) 2 dual tech PIR (detached Garage)and 3 RKP. could you recommend the best control panel, RkP and PIR's I need to have the garage, armed when the house is not and also to have the 2 PIR's on the first floor omittable. Honeywell Activ8 PIR with Break Glass Sensor but can't find what i'm looking for. Firstly i think this PIR is per tolerant, can you confirm if it is? Also does it have seperate n/c loops for movement, glass break & shock or is it just one for all of them

Will the SECWARE D20 Surface Contact work with an old Accenta Intruder Alarm?

The instructions for this unit says that if the settings are changed the unit must be reset at the control Panel. I purchased these units to replace my existing unit and therefore do not have a Honeywell control unit or any functionality to reset PIRs. Can you tell what the reset process is? The anti - mask function, sounds a bit like anti-tamper, do you see any reason why the anti tamper and anti-mask relay out puts cannot be connected in series and both be in the anti-tamper circuit?

I've got the issue with ADE Honeywell Easy Set bought from you about 2 years ago. It requires resetting(cutting the power off) at least twice a year. Is it a known issue with these? Basically the keyfobs stop functioning and reset always helps when it happen.

Please can you advise what speech diallers are compatible with the honeywell galaxy 2 alarms. I'm looking for one that will alert for intruder and a separate alert for fire. Thank you

I have Scantronic 762 dual channel receiver that currently works with two 738r shock sensors. I wish to swap out one of these sensors for a PIR unit but a) do not know if one channel would be enough for a PIR , and which PIR to buy. (I am told that that I need a Scantronic 700r series item.) Risco beams 72 series (7225,7250 and 7275). The data sheet tells me what the tamper output is but not the alarm output ie if it a changeover relay, contact closure in alarm condition etc.

I purchased a Ventcroft Compact Classic Sounder form you recently. Having fitted it though I cannot get the strobe to operate. Everything else operates as it should. I already retrned on but have the same issue with this one. Its connected to a Veritas Compact 8 panel. I have checked and do get 12volts across STB- and 12v+ hold off. Is there anything particular with this panel that I am unaware of.
