  1. Started by Jc1991,

Hi, I recently fitted a scantronic panel and key pad for my parents after there old alarm system went faulty, I could do with some help programming the Scantronic: 1) Door chimes I am unsure weather this has to be activate in the engineers menu and how ? 2) Part Set for night time, I am also unsure how to disable the landing PIR and make it so they have time to access the key pad down on the hall way that is covered by another PIR. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  3. I Purchased a Galaxy Dimension panel last week. It didn't come with an installation or programming manual.I have found some information on line. But need a few answers if possible. What are the external bell box connections? What are the internal sounder connections? I have the system operating with a few detectors and the system has 1 fault which is because it does not have a telephone connection. Can this facility be turned of as I don't need this facility at the moment? If not what is the best way to clear this fault so the system has no faults and is usable.

  5. These PIRs require a power supply of min. 9V which I intend to draw from the Powermaster Central 12V auxiliary output, as it is backed up by a battery. The PIRs consume 19mA max, so 38 mA in total, which exceeds the Powermaster specs of 36 mA max for this auxiliary output. Can you suggest an alternative power output please, or do you think it's no problem to connect the PIRs as planned to the Central.

  6. Today I purchased a copy of Wintex from yourselves. I have downloaded the Wintex zip file multiple times and it will not open. The Zip file is corrupt. I have attempted to open it in 7-zip and Winzip and neither of them will open it. They both say that the Wintex download is corrupt. Please advise as I need to get this open ASAP as I am trying to commission my alarm system.

I can quick arm by pressing the Area button on the way out. I can also quick part arm by pressing eg 1 then Part or 2 then Part. This is all great and makes it very convenient to use. But.... If the system has been set to part arm overnight, someone comes downstairs and unarms it by typing user code. Then we leave the house and press Area to quick arm whole house. The system seems to "remember" that the last arming was part arm, and so even though we press Area for whole arm, it then sets a part arm. Pressing Reset a couple of times before Area seems to do the trick but is a pain when you forget. Maybe there is an option that I can't see in the prog…

  9. Hi, I have a fully wired house system. I need to add another zone to a remote building, a garage, and to run a cable is not really possible. Can you recommend a wireless add on Tx/Rx. The zone will have just two door contacts which can be wired in series. the garage does have mains power if required. The garage is about 80 feet from the panel and has direct line of sight, that is to say no major structures to weaken the signal. many thanks

Hi , I'm after a bit of help , I'm looking at installing an external sounder to a powermax complete panel in out house , the eves at the top of the house so don't want to be going up ladder to often to change batteries etc . I've looked on your web page and it directs me to an expander module to allow the connection up to the siren, however looking in the panel I can see some connection for 12v , internal and external sounder already on the main panel next to the connection for the telephone line , therefore can I just use those to feed the external siren, thanks for your help with this .

I have worked out that I need - Bellbox (external) - Keypad x2 (RFID/Tag or similar would be great!) - PIR x 3 - Control Box with backup battery - Door contact x 3 - Cable & Clips Would you be able to advise in which products you think would be most suitable?
