  1. I'm trying to decide which battery to purchase for my G2-44 system that I'm ready to order from Securitywarehouse, and I'd like to know if the Control Panel supplied with the LCD Keypad (Model: C044-01-KPD) is the plastic or the metal one since there is a difference in the battery size (7Ah vs 17Ah). Thanks!

happy new year to everyone! I am programing the panel but not sure which zone type to select for lounge and other areas as there seems to be quite a few to choose from (alert, 24, monitor, ext/en etc) can someone please help me with what they all mean in cpx. I know what a ext/en is and I have selected my front door one as ext/ex but now sure what should others come under, I just want the others to fire when the alarm is set. a programing/engineer manual would be handy if anyone has got it please thanks

I am looking to find the best option for a complex installation. Any expert recommandation on any of the following issues would be very helpfull and highly rewarded! - the system should accomodate wireless outdoor detectors incl. cameras for video/or image transmission to a surveillance company. - the system should be able to accomodate both wireless and wired connections with about 30 wireless units to be connected and be secured against external perturbation and shall be able to trigger a silent alarm in case of outdoor detection (incl. video or transmission to the surveillance company) and a normal alarm in case of indoor intrusion detection (also with indoor vide…

  7. Hi, My friend has gone away and has had a power cut. She has a Scantronic 9448+ alarm system. The front panel is 9427 style. We can not reconnect her power as the alarm keeps sounding off. How do we re set her alarm in order to turn her power back on?

  8. Hi I need a full system. The main building requires 9 zones and there is an outbuilding within 15 yards of the main building which has mains power and requires 2 zones. I believe that for the outbuilding I need a wireless expander as I do not want to fit wireless sensors. The main building is suitable for a wired setup. I would appreciate some guidance on a suitable, cost effective control panel and accessories.

I bought Honeywell DT8012F5 and IS3012 sensors with Pet immunity but when my cat with (5Kgs) jumps to a table or to a sofa or when it walk on the table, it sets off the sensor. It already happened with both types of sensors in different rooms. Do you know why this is happening with Pet immunity sensors? How can I solve this?

  12. I have recently purchased a Menvier SD3 dialler from you to use with a Honeywell GD4 Accenta alarm system. My electrician has successfully configured the Accenta Alarm outputs to work correctly with the SD3 dialler (texting and calling fine), but is having some trouble workling out how to connect the SD3 outputs as required as the manual does not give a great deal of info. I understand that the outputs are open collector and therefore will need a suitable relay to provide a clean switch. Can you please recommend any particular relay modules (boards) for connection of the following outputs: 1 - To control heating system on/off 2 - Wired back to Accenta panel as Panic …

I have a Veritas alarm believed to be the r8 which is around 12 years old and ready for an upgrade. Is it possible to use the lcd keypad as an additional rkp on this unit or do I need to stick with the original keypad with led's? Helps would be appreciated. I don't really want to upgrade the main pcb etc. Thanks.

  15. My current home burglar alarm system 'Accenta G3' (product code 8SP401N) is broken. The transformer has blown in the box due to recent power cut in my area. I currently have a Accenta G3 box and a seperate wired user control panel linked to the box. I have 4 wired sensors in the house 2 for the doors and 2 in rooms. There is an alarm box on the front of the house. We were wondering if we could simply replace the box with the new Accenta G4 system but still keep the old G3 user control panel and the existing sensors set up in the house and alarm box on the outside of the house as is i.e. is it simply case of un-wiring the existing G3 box, removing it from the wall and rep…

What is the best course of action - I have a Homelink ( Scantronic) 75 Security System installed over 3 yrs ( the installers have gone bust and I cannot therefore get the original installers to maintain system) Over the last 6 months the system as gone down specifically - the passives batteries. Can I simply replace batteries with lithium AA cell batteries will this restore the system to normal functuality at the control panel or does the new batteries mean a total reset? Secondly, can I add further 2 passives (I believe I'd need the Scantronic 714R passive infra-red detector & transmitter) and a panic alarm or do I need professional installers due to complexity…

I need to connect three smoke detectors to my existing Texecom 48 system. I don't want to run cables back to the panel, so I planned to connect the detectors to an expander, which would be connected to the spare cable sitting in the loft which was already taken back to the panel when the system was installed. I want to avoid using a power supply with the expander if possible. I do not have any other expanders on the system currently. About 14 zones on the Texecom 48 are used. What are the options, and would I be better off running three separate cables from th epanel to the loft? It will be a pain in the a*se mind.

  19. Hi, I've just installed a Scantronic Homelink55 and the hardwired side of this has worked perfectly straight away. However the wireless side has proved more problematic ? I am tring to 'link' the RFX16 unit with 2 x 703r transmitters, I can get the reciever into learn mode, either -- flashing for the sysetm to allocate the channel or, for instance with 09 flashing (I have configured it to addres from zone 09 onwards). I have the 703r set to have the Ln set to E -enabled; however, with 12v connected the green nlight is on but unless I change the oP there is no activity from the RED LED!! I've tried marrying the both 703rs and have tried both connected to the panel bus …

Hello, The LEDs have stopped working on my Novagard 6 bell box, the siren is working fine though. The user guide talks about spare led holders but not sure if the bell came with spare LEDs in these holders. Can I buy spare LEDS? Tried google and did not find anything related yet. I am not sure if there would be spare in the bell box so thinking of buying them before I climb up the ladder and open the bell box. Any help advise would be high appreciated. Thanks

Do you have any experience with the micorwave adjustment on a Bosch Blue Line D1-P detector? Part of the installation of some I have purchased form you indicates to adjust the microwave sensivity, is this a normal part of a standard installation for say a 10m x 10m room or do you always hae to fine tune the detector? Is there any further guidance notes for this task?

  23. I am planning to replace an old intruder alarm system with all new equipment. The only problem I can foresee is the space available for the control panel (fitted in a meter cupboard). The existing panel is a GARTEC (h175xw210xd70). An ACCENTA MINI GEN4 (h200xw253xd55) will fit in the space available but there will be little room (approx 20mm) above and below the panel. My question is: How does the front cover of the panel open and/or how is it removed? Does it hinge (top & bottom) and will I have enough room to open/remove it?

  24. Hi I am new to wiring up alarm systems and have 2 SC550/WH door contacts to add into a Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 system. There are no instructions for wiring the 6 connectors on the contacts. I assume the middle two are for the tamper. Where do the power and relay connect?
