I've just installed an Accenta G4 and have a problem using the set output with the latching option of the Texecom IMPAQ Plus detectors. The Accenta manual states that the set output is positive 12v upon successful set of the system and removed when a correct access code is entered. However when I test the output from the main board, it is 12v positive when the system is unset & removed once set, so opposite to what is stated in the manual. The detector instructions state the same as the Accenta manual for latching, positive when set, removed when unset. Is there a way of configuring this output or is it a fault with the Accenta as I can't find any reference to it i…

The wiring diagram suggests that for multiple keypads, the wiring should be serial i.e. from alarm panel into the first keypad then onto the second. My question is can I wire each keypad back to the alarm panel independantly (in start wiring), e.g. the comms connection at the alarm panel has two wires comming from it, one to the first keypad and one to the second keypad.

I am planning to replace an old intruder alarm system with all new equipment. The only problem I can foresee is the space available for the control panel (fitted in a meter cupboard). The existing panel is a GARTEC (h175xw210xd70). An ACCENTA MINI GEN4 (h200xw253xd55) will fit in the space available but there will be little room (approx 20mm) above and below the panel. My question is: How does the front cover of the panel open and/or how is it removed? Does it hinge (top & bottom) and will I have enough room to open/remove it?

We're about to install an Accenta Mini Gen4 with conventional intruder detectors, remote keypads and an external bell sounder. We will also have a number of Menvier M12 smoke detectors on Zones 7 & 8 for 24-hour fire detection. If Zones 7 & 8 trigger, we're expecting the Accenta to display an appropriate alarm on the RKPs and do 2-sec on / 2-sec off signalling on the external bell box. If possible, we also wish to fit an all-in-one sounder / strobe unit in a specific room to ensure that the occupants understand that the "bells that they can hear ringing in the distance" are indicating a fire alarm (and that they should evacuate). upon power uo of my recently purchased optima gen4 copact alarm the alarm sounds- enter code 0123 and the alarm siren silences. i have no flashing tamper light despite the cover being off,i have a flashing sos led which will not go out whatever i press? i have the global tamper pa & ta terminals shorted out but still am unable to extinguish the sos led. do you think the unit is faulty or am i missing something obvious

I purchased a Aritech 4 zone analyser from your company to find it does not work correctly i.e you can bang on the window HARD around 20 times and the analyser will only just trigger and that is on max sensitivity. 2nd i never got instructions with the unit just wiring diagram and also your advert on your website tells you so many things that this unit will do but clearly it wont like pulse count adjustment and LED indicator. I have found all the components but not an exact match for 2.1Ah battery and surface door contact - could you advise which battery model and which surface contact model I should order?

I have bourght quite a few of these & on wiring & checking them find none sound when tested. All you get is a constant lit LED. Is there a possiblity that all are faulty or has someone designed the ultimate pointless product? If one went into alarm I'd expect all linked alarms to sound. Is this not the case with all linked 12v linked detectors?

I am about to order the Scantronic Homelink 55 from your site but have a couple of questions... Can I add an extra keypad with prox reader? The description of the Homelink mentions only the 9940 and 41 but they are no longer available I think? Will the Scantronic PIR's (wired types) work OK with the system, as I only need wireless contacts for the doors, all other sensors will be wired? Any recommendations for a suitable external sounder?

have purchased a Honeywell DT7450UK2 motion sensor for use in a conservatory and having received it am unsure of its compatability and wiring requirements. My security system is 12v however the wiring information states 24vdc for tamper and alarm. Please advise.
