June 29, 201015 yr I am tring to select an alarm with the following requirements: Up to 8 zones LCD keypads (1) Proximity tag capability (prefer it built into the keypad) Easy to use Autodialler capability preferred but not essential (can add standalone autodialler) Reasonable cost The panel will be in an obscure location which wont be accessed regulary (no need for buttons) so will be controlled/programmed by remote keypad/fob Please advise which items would be suitable
June 29, 201015 yr Reasonable cost?..have a look at the MDT Avanti http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_41&products_id=995 LCD keypad with prox
June 30, 201015 yr Thanks for the replies Both seem good and I will investigate each before making a decision Is the MDT really as easy to programme/operate as the manufacturers would suggest? I have only really worked with Texecom products up to this point (Veritas 8/R8) and know them quite well, how do these products compare ie reliability, ease of use, how hard to set up etc etc Thanks in advance
June 30, 201015 yr very similar. but if you have experience with one brand that will be easier than anything else
July 1, 201015 yr This is probably a daft question but I assume that the alarm can be set/unset via inputting a 4 digit code into the keypad as well as the proximity fob?
July 1, 201015 yr Thanks for that Is it possible to purchase the panel with 2 x prox LCD keypads ie Upgrade the included keypad to a LCD prox and purchase a second I dont want/need a non prox keypad
July 2, 201015 yr I can see if we can do a kit like that. Id assume we could. Leave it with me. Sounds good - thanks very much!
