Secware2
Hi guys, I’m curently using a couple of Texecom RF 360 PIR sensors (from your good selves). I’ve had them in place for several years covering some common hall/landing areas, all good. Last year I got a cat… Even on pulse count=2 these sensors are not pet immune, and as a result I’ve had to stop arming the alarm, otherwise the cat will set off false alarms all the time. ? I need to stick with 360 ceiling mounted sensors as the wiring is in place inside a finished ceiling. I have a little void, so I could potentially change from surface to recessed flush mounting if necessary… Is there such a thing as a pet immune 360 ceiling PIR? would perhaps a dual-tech sensor work better for me? – like the DT version of the same Texecom sensor? Secware_Tech6
I'm not a fan of pet sensors anyway but I'm afraid I don't know of a ceiling detector. You can of course use a standard sensor with ceiling bracket. The best way in any system with pets is peremiter protection not space protection

Do you think a dual-tech sensor might work better than just IR ? I'd not thought of putting a standard sensor in its place, - I'd no idea there were ceiling brackets for these sensors, but wouldn't the detection pattern be "off"..? Pgordon
I've been continuing searching, and I've found a couple that claim to be what I need: https://www.amazon.co.uk/OWSOO-Infrared-Microwave-Detector-Pet-Immunity/dp/B086KZLBHS/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_pop_multi_srecs_sabr_0_7/261-3684634-4703540?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B086KZLBHS&pd_rd_r=0c400fde-1f11-4439-a0f7-1e0b458ff418&pd_rd_w=x3VtB&pd_rd_wg=cAGmP&pf_rd_p=5864a8c4-0ac6-4e57-aa01-41e26a7ef9f7&pf_rd_r=Q17WB9KHH8YJ11XB6S1T&psc=1&refRID=Q17WB9KHH8YJ11XB6S1T or perhaps https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anti-Pet-Infrared-Detector-Security-Waterproof/dp/B07MZTYVBK
Secware_Tech6
I'd be cautious of those units as they don't seem to be meet 50131 They maybe OK I don't see a dt will help a movement sensor isn't intelligent enough to determine object size ie pet vs human crawling etc.
