Secware2 Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Can i network 5 different systems together with this panel?16:00Im thinking, have 1 as a master and the others a slaves Honeywell Galaxy Dimension 520 Control Panel Only C520-D-E1 Quote
Secware_Tech6 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 How are you interconnecting them.. Do you mean use rios and groups? Quote
Secware2 Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 Honeywell have also advised: It's not possible to link galaxy systems together as master and slaves.Only way would be via outputs and keyswitch zones, so as to set different panels from a main one by triggering outputs. Quote
Secware2 Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 We have 5 separate buildings with their own panel, rios' and devices.I want building no1 to be the master and the other 4 buildings to be slaves. I want to set/ unset the 5 buildings from an RKP in building 1.The network is fibre between buildings. Will Galaxy gold enable the programming to this structure? Quote

stuart_mcg Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 As per admins reply. The galaxy rs485 bus that's used to interconnect remote power RIO's, doesn't support running over Ethernet. Even if you used rs485 to Ethernet converters, any latency on the bus could result in tampers. You could fit Ethernet to each panel and control each building individually via the SelfMon or GX apps. Secware2 Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 We have Ethernet modules on each panel and they sit on their own dedicated fibre network. If I use Galaxy Gold on the network, will this let me interrogate and monitor all panels? Are the panels interfaced to the galaxy gold by means of MAC address? Secware_Tech6 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 You can use rss. Not the mac address you use the ip address Quote
stuart_mcg Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 If you have the panels networked, then you can either individually control all panels via app, or you could use a building management system like Win-Pak to control all sites from one windows application. Quote
