Hi,

I am going to upgrade my Galaxy G2-12 wired system to a wireless system.  The list of components I think I need to purchase are in another thread where I was asking about compatibility :-

and are reposted here :-

- Honeywell C079-2 RF Portal
Honeywell CP051-00-01  MK8 keyprox
Honeywell C072 Boxed RIO expander
3x Honeywell TCC8M wireless keyfob
Honeywell SMB10 Motion sensor mounts
RS485 Bus wire : Twisted pair screen cable Belden 8723 equivalent
680 Ohm resistors
4x Honeywell DO8M   - Door
5Honeywell IRPI8M  - IR
6x Honeywell DF8M   - Smoke
2x Honeywell CO8M  - Carbon Monoxide

My question is about the wiring on the RS485 bus.  I know it has to be daisy chained and the manual shows 2 examples of daisy chained and twin daisy chained.  Because of the layout of the house I would like to do twin daisy chained with 2 peripherals on one side.

Daisy Chain from the manual :

My Suggested wiring :

Is my diagram correct?  Will it work?

Hope you can help and thanks!

yeah thats fine. But on small runs with low device count you wont need the 680 ohm end of line resistor. Id wire as you have drawn but leave link 1 in and dont fit the eol resistors.
