A Legal company in Dundee is celebrating its first year with its deployment of biometric security. The system that was supplied by Biolock UK Ltd has enabled Thorntons Solicitors to dispense with the need for keys, Pins, swipe cards or fobs by scanning the users fingerprint.

 

 

 

With more than 300 members of staff and 31 Partners, Thorntons is one of the largest employers locally.  As a firm, we take our commitment to our staff very seriously.

 

All 300 employees access internal and external doors by presenting their fingerprint on a small scanner. The system recognizes key points on the fingerprint but does not store the print itself, so human rights are not compromised.

 

 

 

The system "iGuard" from our partners Lucky technology is a web based system that records every transaction that happens thought the building, administration is fast and easy giving the user full management of who goes where in the building at any one time, The iGuard Security System is a field-proven Biometrics (Fingerprint Verification), and/or Contact less Mifare Smart Card Access Control & Time Attendance Network Appliance for business. Utilizing fingerprint authentication, the iGuard system provides unparalleled security, performance and reliability.
